Very distant from other Celebrity Cruises.....

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

I just returned from the Celebrity Eclipse on a 12-night journey through Patagonia. I was very disappointed with the overall quality of this cruise in many ways. Having taken 41 cruises on different cruise lines, including some with Celebrity, I have ample references to comment on this trip. First, I want to start by saying that it's not worth acquiring an upgrade to a suite. I acquired ...

This was my 20th cruise - 3rd with Celebrity. Food in MDR and buffet was delicious. Deluxe Balcony cabin was spacious for the 2 of us. The deck 15 that was covered in grass was awesome. The blown glass venue was nice. There were 8 days at sea and I felt there were not enough planned activities (other than those targetted at selling you something). The production company sounded great ...

Renovation Work/areas closed spoiling our holiday

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Scenic Eclipse II

What a beautiful ship, with top class chefs & customer service second to none. The choice and quality of food in the different restaurants was amazing. Our cabin was very comfortable and clean. However what ruined our holiday was renovation works on the decks for 11/19 of our holiday days. Outside areas were closed, there was distracting noise, workmen moving around the boat, dust and dirt, ...

Amazing Expedition

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Quark Ultramarine

This expedition with Quark was my first time to South America and it was simply incredible! Everything was so well organised and there was always a backup plan if the weather wasn’t suitable. The mix of water, air and land excursions was fantastic and I could immediately see the value for money. The speed and precision they were able to get us all off the ship and onto the zodiacs was ...

Wonderful Expedition Cruise

Review for a South America Cruise on Seabourn Pursuit

We have many cruises with SB and SS but this was first expedition. In short we think it was great - excellent expedition crew, informative talks and a sense of, well, expedition. It was fun bouncing around on zodiacs and the included parka etc did keep you dry. Suites were same as ocean ships ie spacious and clean. Food was similar but only gripe was that colonnade often empty due to very boring ...

Hurtigruten's Roald Amundsen to Antarctica

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Roald Amundsen

From the moment we embarked on the ship, until (sadly) leaving it, we had the most amazing and wonderful experience. This ship is exceptional - full height continuous windows in the dining and all public areas - the views were magnificent. Sitting near a window at breakfast time and being able to watch humpback whales play in the water one way and seeing penguins doing their dip and weave dash ...

A disappointed trip

Review for a South America Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We have cruised many times of Princess. We were very disappointed on this trip. We booked it as a 32 day cruise from Buenos Aires to LA, not knowing that it was two trips. We did expect rough waters but we didn't except not to see Cape Horn, one of the reasons for the trip. We also had a port excluded because of the weather. There were so many extra sea days. The food and entertainment was ...

Wonderful Glacier Experience

Chose this cruise for the experience of up close viewing of the glaciers. Riding on the zodiacs and the Special Operations Boat was great fun. The science staff was informative on the area and explained what is happening to the world glaciers. The staff was great and helpful in making this expedition cruise enjoyable. All the glaciers were different. The foul weather boots and pants were great ...

Great crew and awesome sights of the Cape

We chose to sail buenos to valparaiso, it afforded us good sailing days with daylight viewing of cape horn & beagle channel, from our starboard balcony. Our 2nd cruise with celebrity, we enjoyed the variety of bars to party (silent disco) or chill. We used the main dining room 4 nights of the 12, with our final night enjoying sushi on 5, sushi enhanced by the guidance of mohamed. Reports ...
