We had a really bad storm in the Atlantic that necessitated changing the itinerary we ended up with 10 sea days where 9 of these days it was impossible to go on deck. There was not enough to do No Bridge Director leaving at least 60+ guests very disappointed also very few quizzes 1 music and the daily progressive and the odd trivia certainly not enough for a full ship stuck inside for 10 days. We have always wanted to sail into New York passed the Statue of Liberty. It was a wonderful experience and were not disappointed! Leaving New York at night was spectacular.

Embarkation: was a breeze. due to coast guard conducting a mandatory routine inspection, our arrival time was pushed back to 11:30....i never listen. got there for 10 a.m. and i believe we were on the ship by 11:15. disembarkation was even easier. walked right off at 7:15 a.m., grabbed my luggage from Section 18 and through customs and home by 8:20 ... 8:30 a.m.

This ship conveniently leaves out of NJ, it is new and big. The dates aligned with my kids, 11 and 13, having off from school. It was our 5th cruise. We also sailed in Carnival and MSC. We have enjoyed all of them.

The best term to describe this cruise is "uneven." Some aspects of the cruise were quite good, and others unbelievably bad.
The Good:
1. The Silhouette is spotlessly clean. I don't remember seeing any area of the ship that needed attention.

We wanted to try a big ship cruise. We were very impressed with the smooth embarcation process but things quickly went downhill from there. Best time of year for my time off.
Embarking ship in Cape Liberty was very efficient and took very little time.
Bermuda is an excellent island and safe to get around. Transportation on the island is very user friendly. Would have preferred Caribbean islands but were not available for the time I needed.
