Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I've been on 20+ cruises and this is my 7th NCL cruise to Bermuda. So many of the fun aspects of cruising have disappeared in NCL's most recent exercise in corporate greed. I think it's time for me to take a break from NCL. So many passengers I spoke with informed me that Royal Caribbean and even the newer Carnival ships are a much better experience than this NCL Gem cruise. * First of all, ...

We wanted some winter sun and friends had recommended Saga. We had never sailed with them before but do prefer smaller ships to the large monstrosities that the 5-6,000 passengers. Very good journey to Portsmouth and very smooth embarcation, our cabin was ready when we boarded. The cabin was very clean and the bathroom adequate the only negative was the lack of room in front of the wardrobe. The ...

Pros are supposed to go before cons, so I will put the positives first, but please don’t miss the negatives later in this review, because although there were a few redeeming qualities, make no mistake, I would never sail with MSC again. First positive, all the staff below the managerial level deserve to be commended for being true, if not powerless, delights. We had many wonderful interactions ...

The ultra all inclusive service by Saga was the main attraction when booking , transport door to door , insurance , excursions were excellent . On arrival the time from being dropped off at the terminal to eating lunch in the open sitting Grill was less than 20 minutes . Booking the included alternative dinning was no problem booking the 3 venues for out 14 day cruise . The food without ...

Not enchanting

My sister and I chose this cruise line because we heard so many positive things about it and we liked the Itinerary. We have both cruised with other cruise lines and we heard that Oceania is a step above all these with a higher end service and food. We didn't realize that with a smaller ship you get less entertainment and also less choices for things to do during the day. The people that travel ...

Good stuff first, food was good the dining service staff Cynthia and Sandeep were awesome. Our room Stewart Clarke very friendly did a great job. PEI tour was great. That was the reason we went. My wife is big fan of the Ann of green gables. Getting on was the normal made house stuff you get while getting on a big ship. The tours :Cabot trail was a few stops enclosing a stop at a closed ...

Let me start with this: I love cruising. I've been on 15+ cruises, from the Odyssey of the Seas to the Nordic Prince that was retired ages ago, from RCCL to Princess to Celebrity to Norwegian to Holland America, and more. As cruises go, this was one I won't ever do again. This was supposed to be a "Fall Colors" cruise, but we missed the colors by a couple weeks, I think, as most trees were bare ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Explora I

I have postponed writing this review in hopes that Explora Journeys would learn from their mistakes and make significant changes to their operations. After reading onboard comments as well as the reviews here on Cruise Critic, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Their whole mentality is, we are a different kind of cruise line. Indeed, they are. All reviews are the personal opinion of the author. ...

MSC is a cruise line like no other. If you’ve been on other cruise lines you won’t like MSC Make sure you bring Kleenex. Bring Toilet unless you liked single ply paper. If you prepay for a dining package, you’ll be presented with a restricted menu. If you use a c-pak unite bring an extension cord, there are no outlets by the bed. Only 2outlets Only two places with ...

Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We just finished the Norwegian Escape this week. We were very disappointed overall. We usually cruise with Royal Caribbean and thought they would be comparable. We did not find that to be the case at all. Let’s start with the positives. The cruise itinerary was pretty phenomenal. We loved 4 out of the 5 stops we made. Newport Rhode Island was a darling and phenomenal stop. We would love to ...
