Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Ship was a good size not to big. Cabin was large and roomy we paid for that. We found the food on this ship terrible like a restaurant that you would never go back to but instead we are stuck for 12 days. We did go to all the specialty dining restaurants and found Cagney's to be ok nothing special. I was also disappointed that here we were in the sea ...
Ports of Call! Started in Quebec City and docked in Nova Scotia, Halifax, Portland, Boston and then to Florida. Our Cabin was situated near the elevator which was nice. The elevators however were horrendous. They were doing maintenance on 2 elevators which made it difficult but what made it frustrating was that the other elevators would bypass our floor with one or two people on them. This ...
Took the Canada/New England cruise with a last-minute solo offer and was my second cruise on NCL. Overall it was great value, but food and service were not as good as the Norway cruise on NCL Star two years ago.
★The GOOD★
Excellent itinerary (overnight at Quebec and 8 other ports of call) with reasonable port hours and just two sea days. Dock at Quebec City was farther away from the old ...
We loved this itinerary - 13 relaxing days along the eastern shores of Canada/New England to take in the fall foliage; however, Mother Nature had other plans! Needless to say, we were disappointed to learn that the ship would not be docking in Sydney, NS as planned and therefore, our Taste of the Cabot Trail excursion was cancelled. We had a few other disappointments - Royal rescheduled our ...
The staff where OUTSTANDING. My wonderful wife required a little special diet items, the wait staff went out of their way to take care of it on a daily bases( even while serving 3,000 others).
Like all our RCCL cruises the food quality was very good. We generally ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet , we loved the many choices available and it was done well. We ate our dinners in the MDR. We ...
Joe and I love cruising. We have always been 'Loyal to Royal' and are Diamond Plus--not that it matters, except it is relevant to our experiences on this cruise.
It started out well--the air connections the cruise line arranged worked out well, though they were time-comsuming. We got to the airport in Quebec City tired after 17 hours of traveling. We had asked RCI for an airport to hotel ...
The itentary- fall foliage
Cabin, they have even ran out of facial tissues, received a note, sorry we are out with a room of toilet tissue!
Service - diamond +++, they have ran out of all white Zens, there is no Chardonnay.
Entertainment, C-, guess they are using the money on the bigger ships.
Dining, same menu every four days, and if you are in a section with Pinnacle or Suite, you ...
The cruise cost us $4720.90 more than we had planned for due to their faulty, fraudulent and difficult bidding process. We talked to many people at NCL ending with K in the executive offices and got nowhere! All she kept saying was that we bid and that the transaction was binding and irreversible. She said that there was absolutely no one else we could talk to above her! They refused to believe ...
I have been a long time Regent cruiser and was concerned about the quality of service after the takeover by Norwegian. In October my wife and I took a 10-day cruise to Canada and then Bermuda. We found the staff as warm and friendly as in the past and the food was at least as good. The entertainment was moderate as I expect on a small ship, but the performers were enthusiastic. But…
My wife ...
As a Diamond Plus member with over 50 cruises of various cruiselines, this was by far the worse cruise I have ever taken. The good. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly except for someone taking my luggage instead of their own to the airport. We both departed early, yet they got the jump on me and grabbed their bag. Port Everglades Royal Agent Maggie was excellent in confirming the ...
