The Regal Princess in a beautiful relatively new ship. I chose this 5 day cruise because my friend had never cruised before and I wanted to show her how wonderful cruising is as I've been on over 20 cruises on many different lines.. Also leaving out of Brooklyn seemed easy since we could drive from New Jersey and park at the port. Getting back out of that port to the Verazzano Bridge on a ...
We wanted to see the fall colors in New England and Princess had the right time frame for us. The ship was very nice and the food was good, some meals better than others. The entertainment was good. The cabin was real nice and bigger than I expected. We took Six shore excursions and I didn't think they were really worth the money we paid for them. Services were great, room service was fast and ...
It could of been better we saw the cruise director total of 3 times whole trip pictures were expensive had too fight for seating for meals more attention needed for passengers..been on other cruises that made you feel at home and like family .Everything you buy was for profitability vs good time . Went to effy to look at jewelry and found them to be very pushy .room was very comfortable . Had to ...
I start this review as a seasoned cruiser. 9 to be exact.Carnival and Royal Caribbean. First cruise on Princess. Never again. The ship is beautiful. Well maintained and clean. The crew (for the most part) was kind, helpful and caring. But thats it. We only had 2 hot meals and that was in the specialty restaurants. The buffet food was always, with out exception cool at best. Same with the dining ...
To call something great, it really has to stand about among other similar experiences, and while this cruise was not bad, there were many missed opportunities to make it much better, starting with the completely lousy greeting that we had upon embarkation. (one could more accurately say, the greeting that we didn't have). Arrival clarification: Security fine, directional crew member very, very ...
We had gone on Princess in Jan, 2018 on the Panama Canal cruise and it was wonderful. We had a great mini-suite and the entertainment was great. Afternoon happy hour and music. This cruise which was classified an a club class upgrade was the most disappointing cruise we have been on. We did not receive the upgrades per the website. The robe were old, thread bare and one size fits all a small. ...
Silver Spirit, Montreal to NYC. Have sailed too many cruises to list but over the past 12 months have been on Crystal and Queens Grill in Cunard. This Silver Spirit cruise was a return to Silversea having sailed on Cloud, Wind, Shadow and Whisper in the past (and had all very nice cruise on those other Silversea ships)
Ship: Looks brand new, loved the cabin and and cabin bathroom. I ...
Great itinerary, Unfortunately, bad weather kept us from stopping at 2 ports.
It appears as if there is NO heating on board. Cabins and public areas were below 70 (and sometimes even in the 50'S). Complaints to the staff elicited sympathy but no relief.
Stop In NY was shorter than others. A pity, since there was more to do and the ship was docked in Brooklyn!
The piazza was nice and there ...
This was the first time this cruise was offered, Boston to the Caribbean and back to Boston. The 6 sea days, 3 down and 3 back were something, including the Nor'easter that had the boat really rolling for about 24 hours. That storm was the first sea day, luckily this cruise was mostly experienced cruisers who just laid low for the day.
We enjoyed the trip down just the same. It was followed ...
We just returned from a ten day trip on the Silver Spirit, Montreal to New York City. Out of 25+ cruises this was hands down the worst because of the weather. It was 29 degrees F in Montreal, we got stuck in Quebec City because of a blizzard, Saguenay port was closed because of the weather, Baie-Comeau was closed because the dock was wrecked by the storm and it was rain, snow, sleet and fog in all ...
