Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Never been in that part of Canada. Beautiful. The only thing I was disappointed on the buffett. I have been in other cruises with NCL and the buffets were a lot better than this one. It was the same thing for 7 days. Before you had better choices - seafood, steaks etc. Different for each day. And in this one it seemed you only had chicken. We were 5 couples and we said the same ...

New England and Eastern Canada Our trip started in Boston, which is where my Daughter and her family live. Ginny and I flew up two days early to spend a couple of days with the family. We had a nice visit and we had some time with my Grandchildren. They had already started school, but I was able to go to my grandson William’s karate class. We had a great lunch with my Daughter, Risa, and ...

We picked this NYC to Quebec cruise to see New England and Canadian Fall colours but we picked to early in the season to do that. Pre cruised 4 days in NYC and post cruised with 2 day stays in each of Quebec, Montreal and Toronto. Departure was relocated from Manhattan to Brooklyn due to damage at Manhattan terminal so was pretty disorganise ashore and messed up transfers. Holland America ...

My husband and I had a wonderful time on our cruise. All of the personnel that we dealt with, from our cabin steward to our restaurant staff were wonderful to deal with. We had a wonderful time at all of the activities, but most especially the 80's Dance Party. Our weather was perfect. We feel that the food was not always at a high standard (i.e., occasionally not as hot as it could have been ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Silver Spirit

Enjoyed the whole Silversea experience. But they MUST attend to the internet issue. Cabin was excellent so was service. Menu not changed very often which was disappointing. Ship had unexplained juddering at speeds above about 15 knots. No relationship with sea conditions. Maybe caused by the recent lengthening. Was a bit unpleasant at times. Crew were almost all very obliging and cheerful. I ...

All in all, we really enjoyed it, but Princess would do well to take a few statistics classes. When we checked in at Southampton, woo, hoo, we’re platinum, you know. This is our eighth Princess Cruise (and could be our last if the keep playing those godawful reworded 70s Love Boat theme-song safety messages - thank GOD they stopped after the first day) so roll on the bennies! Let’s skid ...

Summit is an older ship , but staff are wonderful and keep ship very clean. Food was good overall. Really enjoyed the food in the Café, especially the grill in back and stir fry. Entertainment was very good , only act we didn't care about was couple who did juggling and comedy. Always enjoy the trivia and other activities on board. Loved the free tour of the galley. Played pickleball on ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

This was a 14 day cruise out of Bayonne, NJ. We paid about $2300 pp for a window cabin (#2002). (We scored pre-paid gratuities and a $350 onboard credit!) The up-charge for veranda cabins can vary from practically nil to nearly double the cost of a window cabin. This cruise trended toward the upper end so I opted for a the window. I figured it would be too cold to sit out anyway – I was ...

We do not usually rake cruises for several reasons. But, this one was very good. We were in the Aqua Class. I would definitely recommend this. You have a private restaurant-Blu. We could eat at any time during the breakfast hours and dinner hours. There were no assigned times, which was great, and no waiting line. We got to know the staff and they were super to us. We sat by ourselves for ...

Ideal fall colors cruise itinerary and ship

First off, this was our first cruise on NCL and we enjoyed it very much. Many things felt much more relaxed than recent experiences on RCCL. The ship was mid-size by current standards, and it felt about right to us. There are some onboard activities, but with only two at-sea days, you did not need a lot of things onboard. We flew into Montreal, where we did our own 3-night pre-cruise visit. We ...
