Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

I'm a 66 YO solo cruiser who hasn't sailed since the start of the recent pandemic. My last cruise was aboard the Coral Princess in Feb '20, sailing from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I booked this cruise for several reasons: 1. I haven't visited New England and Eastern Canada since the mid-70s, when I toured the region with a special needs group; 2. I wanted to sail from a port city ...

Lots of Issues but Great Crew

Review for a North America River Cruise on Ocean Voyager

I choose this back-to-back cruise as it was visiting a lot of ports in the US and Canada I never been to before as well as the fall foliage. Note: After disembarkation in Portland (Boston) the ship head to Jacksonville, FL, to be sold as American Queen Voyages was no longer supporting cruise around the great lakes. The decor of the ship was outstanding. It takes a passenger back to the days ...

Pretty decent cruise but there is room for improvement

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Oceania Vista

What we loved... Obviously, the food. Oceania promises the best food at sea, and in 90% of their venues, they succeed. Every single place to eat was as good or better than any place I have eaten on any other ship. If cruising is all about food for you—you want Oceania. Loved Toscana, Aquamar Kitchen (try the Poke bowl), Terrace Cafe, Polo Grille, Red Ginger and Pizzeria...in that order. Only ...

Great trip on the Joy (NYC to Quebec City)

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Joy

We chose this cruise primarily due to the itinerary, but really enjoyed the Joy. This was the largest-capacity ship we've sailed on so we were a little concerned about being with such a big crowd, but it wasn't really an issue. Most cabins were sold out so I believe the ship was at it's double-occupancy capacity, although only a handful of kids so not as crowded as it can be. We could always ...

Loved the Ship and the Cruise, the fellow passengers not so much

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We did almost the same itinerary in 2018 on the Escape and loved it, this trip added Newport R.I. Check-in and boarding was a breeze, no issues at all. Balcony stateroom was just as expected and perfectly clean. The steward was polite and made sure we were taken care of. Dining was great, no issues at all with service or quality of the food. Dinner twice at La Cucina, once at Cagney's and ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Venezia

Originally booked on a different ship; ended up on Venezia due to ship swap; selected for the itinerary. The ship is pretty but wow the color red is very dominant with lots of ornate gold trim. Theater too small for the guest capacity. Excursion changes should have been conveyed to pax sooner to allow for alternate plans. Behind the Fun tour is offered - sign up early at Shore ...

Great Cruise; some caveats though.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Carnival Venezia

Wanted to do a solo cruise and I treated myself to a Canadian cruise. The last time I was in the Maritime Provinces was 2001 on the CARNIVAL VICTORY (now RADIANCE) and wanted to see it again. My second Carnival cruise was on the CARNIVAL MAGIC in 2019. The layout of the MAGIC is similar to that of the VENEZIA. I bite the bullet with the single supplement always; I don't like sharing my cabins with ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Emerald Princess

I booked this cruise with two other couples I met on a previous cruise, and we wanted to get together again and decided on this one. Embarkation was very speedy being in the green lane. There was a long line for the blue lane. The food service was good onboard regarding lido deck dining such as Salty Dog or Slices. Dining room was always lengthy. The three times I went to the dining room, it was ...

Excellent cruise spoiled by being subjected to age inappropriate piped music everywhere

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Sky Princess

We have always enjoyed Princess and had wanted to see Canada. As usual all staff were wonderful, sunset balcony cabin was excellent. The tours were good value for money and the guides really knew their subjects. Some tours however could have used a bit more time at venues and seemed rushed. Our main complaint is that there is nowhere on the ship to get away from loud music entertainment in the ...

Great adventure

Coming from the UK our whole trip was a great experience and every day was sunny with no rain at all. That all contributed to some very special memories in a ‘new to us’ part of the world with stunning scenery. We really enjoyed our small group tour in Bar Harbour and time in Quebec to enjoy both a tour of the surrounding area and walk round the old town the next day. We usually have a ...
