The ship is not fit for pupose, missed distenations that were on itinary with out a valid reason
Run out of food, tea bags, staff disorganised
Hardly any entertrmaintent compared to other ships, when at sea so long, 11 day trip was only 2.5 x days on land
Safety, life saving instructions by crew who could not speak English properly and new we did not understand the drill
Rife with ...
This was the 1st cruise myself and my wife had been on Valiant Lady 11 nights around Canary Islands and to Lisbon for 2 days or so we thought. Firstly whilst 2 emergencies occurred on board which were dealt with in an ultimate professional manner, the rest was simply awful. I experienced everything that all the other poor reviews of this cruise did without exception. If you are going to force ...
Imagine Cruising organised this and delivery appalling. Dropped port call in Madeira days beforehand, told blatant lies about 2 days advertised in Lisbon when Virgin had only scheduled one. '80s Extravaganza' promised was a damp squib and passengers had to organise own events. Concert tickets arrived in cabin after event. Too many faults to list but will NEVER use this company again.
Ship ...
Even before the cruise began I had decided that I would never cruise with Virgin Voyages again due to their general poor organisation and dreadful customer service attitude. Trying to sort out what we needed to do with regard to Covid19 protocol was a total nightmare, with contradicting emails arriving almost daily for the last two weeks. Booking in on the App they insist you use for everything ...
First of all we would like to say that the cabin staff and restaurant staff were all excellent and extremely helpful. The three 80s shows were excellent.
It is a great shame that unfortunately one of our passengers had to be airlifted to hospital and another decided to jump in the Bay of Biscay. Our thoughts are with both families.
Now to begin on the disappointing horror story that was ...
I fancied this cruise as Virgin brand have a good name and the airlines are great. The ship looked good but when on board there was nowhere to sit comfortably. Whoever designed it has never sat down for more than 5 minutes, The Rock star suite is overpriced and the cabin is not that big. Once again there was 1 stool and a 60s style chair made from plastic that was awful. The ship rolls from side ...
This cruise is completely underwhelming. The entertainment is almost non existent. Their idea of a quiz is to give you a jigsaw with an hour to see who can complete it first, or a printed out map of US states and ask you to name all of them. They also have a games cupboard (only open set hours) because of course I want to go on a cruise and play Trivial Pursuit! First cruise where I’m clueless as ...
Chosen as an 80’s Extravaganza on ValiantLady - Virgin’s brand new ship. We were Allocated tickets for 3hours of music entertainment over 11nights! (Couldn’t even choose our own nights - so caused issues if you’d booked restaurant on that night!) Of the five headline acts two had their own individual sets, (Tony Hadley and Martin Fry) and the three female artistes (Toyah, Carol Decker (NOT T’Pau ...
Where do I start I ask myself?
The whole experience was fraught with difficulties.
Conflicting information, 09.03.2022, an email saying we needed a certified negative PCR or LFT (they prefer to call it Antigen) 72 hours before embarkation so we ordered online. 12.03.2022, another email advising we needed to order from their preferred partner at the discounted price of £4.98 which would be ...
We chose this cruise because of the 80s theme. The star performers were very good.
But found little other 80s experience on board.
The staff were very good and often had to deal with Virgins chaotic unorganised operations.
The breakfast systems a case in point. No self service, staff all over the place picking up items from different stations, cold plates, cold food delivered, waiting ...
