Swan Hellenic’s Arctic Expedition Sep-Oct 2023 My wife and I decided to do something different with cruising so we booked an Arctic Expedition on Swan Hellenic’s ship Vega. A smaller size new ship accommodating only 152 guests. This was a 16 day cruise along the Western coast of Greenland, crossing the Labrador Sea to Newfoundland/Labrador and ending up in Halifax. It checked off several ...

We had been looking at Greenland trips, and when this one popped up with a great discount, we jumped on it. We were not disappointed in anything. The crew was amazing, the food was excellent, and the size of the ship was perfect for this type of trip. I believe the ship held up to 150 passengers, but there were only 39 signed up with 101 crew and 5 expedition leaders. The rooms were great and it ...

An Exceptional Experience

The original inspiration for such a cruise was the itinerary, and to be honest, dealing with the Company beforehand was a little frustrating, but the cruise itself exceeded all our expectations. Every little detail was well planned by a very organized expedition and ship's crew and changes due to weather etc were executed brilliantly and expeditiously. The food and service was absolutely top ...

This last minute cruise was presented to us by a travel agent and the price was right for us so we jumped on it. Impartial information on the company was hard to find and some requests for info from the company were not as smooth as expected, but we eventually came around and felt comfortable enough to take a chance on them. It turned out to be a very good cruise. Pros: - Nearly everything ...

Just got off a nice day cruise New York, Boston, Portland, Maine, Bar Harbor, Halifax, and St. John. Overall the cruise was wonderful. We had a fantastic time. I'm giving a five star because of the value for the money, destinations, and all the extras they did for us. The ship itself is ready for refurbishment, but that's okay as it's reflected on the price we paid for a balcony cabin, which ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Venezia

I had booked to sail on the Carnival Venezia while the conversion was being completed from a Costa ship. I liked that I could drive to the port in lieu of flying. While I saw some negative reviews during the 1st couple of sailing, I wasn't discouraged, as I've always enjoyed sailing on Carnival and was looking forward to sailing on the Venezia with the "Fun Italian Style" concept. While the night ...

We chose this as an anniversary cruise as we got engaged in Bar Harbor and have not been back since. We were quite concerned about Hurricane Lee but it ended up being of no consequence, we had calm seas and only rain in Boston, other wise perfect weather. We arrived early at JFK and took a Lyft to the cruise port in Brooklyn ( It was about $ 65-70) Our plan was to dump our luggage and ...

This was our 11th cruise, and I have to say one of the best vacations! We walked to the NY pier from our hotel, and the embarkation process was very smooth and quick. The staff at the pier were very nice. Once aboard, we walked around the ship to get familiar with this ship. The decor was REALLY nice throughout the entire ship. You really felt like you were in Italy! During the cruise, the ...

This ship is quite different from other Ships. We loved the Italian theme. The Marco Polo dining room felt very intimate. Staff was great. The cruise director Joey was fantastic. Not a big fan of the smoking in the casino but they had a separate room for non smokers. The ports in Canada were really laid back. The weather was nice despite following a hurricane. Definitely not a cruise for getting ...

We had taken the Grand European Viking River cruise in 2022 and were so impressed with the experience that we thought we would try the ocean cruise. This cruise had all the great things we experienced on the river but included things like the infinity pool, (so cool) and inside pool and hot tubs. A variety of dining experiences. Shows & entertainment. We missed the intimacy of the river ...
