The Legend is an older, smaller ship. Carnival has made many changes since the pandemic, some of which are not good. Paid for FTTF ($129). Received no benefit. Had to check in on line which gave us a 2PM boarding time. Instead of priority boarding which is part of FTTF, we were boarded with regular passengers. I chose this cruise for the itinerary. I love going to New England and Canada, and I liked that we would be in port every day except the last day. I live close to Brooklyn and my friend lives in Brooklyn, so I suggested we go on this cruise together. She has cruised on Princess before and I haven't, and she told me I'd be in for a treat. Selected this cruise for the itinerary - ended up on the Venezia due to a ship swap.
Beginning was very rough - cabin assignment on swap did not align with what we'd paid for and hours on the phone did not resolve the issues. Eventually, we paid to upgrade (ugh - we already paid for the cabin on the original ship) one week and were able to get moved to same cabin for the 2nd week.

We booked this 22 months ahead of time. We were unable to get our favorite cabin, JS. We did not like the balcony cabin! Way too small for us. I can't remember how many times we ran into each other between the bed and door.
The Jewel of the Seas is old, built in 2004 and updated in 2016. It needs so much work. Paint peeling, titles cracked, Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent. unless you were in the ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary - figured September in Canada would be smooth sailing with lovely foliage... um, wrong! This is our first cruise with NCL (not counting a charted NCL cruise many years ago). I am sorry to say we are disappointed. The waiters we had in the MDR worked very well to get our table of 4 were very well taken care of and consistently out in about an hour and 15 minutes.
