Crews make the ship

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We sailed the New England-Canada route. Because of the weather we were unable to tender into Bar Harbor. Activities and dining were changed seamlessly. The crew was accommodating as their time off had been changed. Crew members, on the whole, went out of their way to greet as they passed by. Dining room servers were attentive and seemed to enjoy sharing stories of themselves and their homelands. ...

First 7 Night Cruise with RCCL Boston to Bermuda

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

The Serenade of the Seas is an easy ship to navigate and the Cruise Port Boston staff is great. Security is tight in Cruiseport Boston (fine with me!) but the embarkation process is a breeze. Fun to see the airplanes flying overheard departing from Logan Airport in Boston, Staterooms were not ready til 1:00 PM so you can check out the ship's public areas. Stop by any bar and Purchase or Open your ...

Small ship - and looking a bit tired in places

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Fairly quick boarding & very pleasant staff in Cape Liberty terminal too. We had an ocean view cabin. First time I've sailed without a balcony which I did miss to be honest. However, cabin was ok but tired in places with mould on the shower caulking and bits of furniture peeling away. Cabin steward was friendly enough and adequate (tbh we are quite low maintenance) but completely missed us ...

Big ship

This was my first time on NCL's bigger ships. Because it was a New England and Canada cruise, the majority of the people were inside. It seemed very crowded to me. But I guess if the weather was nice, all those people would have been outside!! It was a nice ship. The only thing I did not care for was that the casino on deck 7 (I think) was open to decks 6 & 8 because of the beautiful light ...

Given rich African/Black cultural traditions and experiences in Halifax NCL needs to offer related excursions. We did the research and planned an outstanding day by visiting: 1 Africvile Museum with an outstanding presentation by Brittany Vaillancourt 2, the Black Cultural Centre, We met Johnson on the evening of September 24, when we realized the mix up over our Savor Restaurant ...

Autumn Leaves and Lobsters in Maine and the Maritimes

Autumn Leaves and Lobsters in Maine and the Maritimes Our two week cruise On Celebrity Summit to New England and Canada was very much akin to a curates’ egg. Many good aspects and experiences with the occasional not so good ones, but unlike our previous Celebrity cruise earlier this year to SE Asia which was sub-par in virtually every respect, the good stuff significantly outweighed the ...

I booked with several friends from Houston, Tx., in fact, eight in all. I joined in with the solo cruisers and met some very nice fun people to eat with, hang out and dance with, and attend shows with. The entertainment was awesome and I can't remember ever having as much fun as with this cruise. The personnel were remarkably friendly and eager to serve. My only regret was that it had to ...

Going downhill

Booked through a casino corporation for our third NCL cruise and it appears the cruise line is going downhill consistently. In fact the casino is the only facility/attraction/entertainment on board we can recommend. The entertainment is tedious, repetitious, and well below reasonable standards. Sing, dance, sing, dance,; rinse and repeat. In the past other ships we have been on have had decent ...

I love cruising. I choose Norwegian just to see what it’s like after being on other ships. I LOVED every moment. The suite was huge, the restaurants were fabulous, the staff was courteous, well mannered and always smiling. My massage was relaxing. I also enjoyed the sauna and the hot tubs. The shore excursions were enjoyable. Onboard activities were the best. I never danced so much in decades. ...
