The October 6, 2023, the New England cruise from Quebec City to Boston began on October 4 with the NCL BOGO air. The trip began at 6 am on United Air from Colorado Springs to Chicago. Late start with plane bathroom issues but arrived in time in Chicago for our connecting Air Canada flight. The Chicago flight loaded and had a delay of 20 minutes, then another 20, then everyone told to deplane, ...
We chose this particular cruise because of the itinerary - the line was secondary but intriguing as we had never sailed on Silversea before.
This was our first time cruising with the Silversea cruise line. It is the luxury side of the Royal Caribbean family of cruise lines. Prior to this we had one other encounter with another luxury cruise line - Regent - and for the most part Silversea ...
Cabin, Concierge Class- the shower floor does slope properly and never fully drains- ship was refurbished 2019 - hard to believe this has not been corrected;
destinations great but too little time in St John NB and Halifax- remove a stop and more overnights needed or later a.m arrival and evening departures; tendering process in Rockland Maine inexcusable with only 3 tender boats operating - ...
I deal itinerary for four couples escaping the lingering summer heat in Texas joining friends who live in Boston. We've sailed Celebrity before and always enjoyed it.
We've been cruising for over 40 years and have sailed most of the major lines and some of the luxury brands like Crystal and Silver Seas. Over these decades there have been many changes including mostly those reflecting more of ...
Wanted an accessible getaway with no flight required...and this worked. Pleasantly surprised and loved the smaller ship. The food could have been hotter but that's about the only real thing that was noteable. Some meals outshined others...but we had no complaints....the buffet was a buffet -with a ton of options and the other venues were quite good.. Chefs dinner was phenomenal. We did use room ...
We chose NCL based on word of mouth from reviews and family. We wanted to leave from New York and we're hoping to visit Canada. We had already visited some of the places on the itinerary so top advantage of those days to explore the Escape since it was our first cruise.
We stayed in a Balcony Suite on the 12th floor and were very pleased with the size and comfort of the room. You did not feel ...
Let me start with a broad statement; I really am not crazy about the NCL Breakaway and similar ships. I've done Breakaway, Bliss and now Escape (my wife has also done Joy). I absolutely hate that the Atrium is the place for virtually all "game shows" and on cooler weather cruises, is the site of the glow party and other dance parties. IT IS TOO SMALL. The Escape doesn't have an alternative ...
Overall the cruise was very good. ship is dated and could use a facelift…our balcony cabin was fine but with some glitches..had to call guest services right away to fix air conditioning which wasn’t working well. The safe had issues with keypad sticking.. had to call twice for assistance. Balcony was not great and furniture was old one chair even had a big paint splotch on it.
First two nights ...
Chose this cruise for its ports visited. We have have cruised many times before on other lines but this was the first time with Oceania.
Staff, cabin, and food all very good.. Found entertainment limited with the same act being on three times during the cruise. Also show cancelled at the very last minute due to sea conditions and the safety of performers. Understandable but no alternative ...
We wanted to try the new ship and went for the ship this trip.
The itinerary worked for us as well. We had plans for a couple ports but other than that, the ship was the destination
We arrived late in Montreal on embarkation day (long story) and did not get to the ship until about 5pm.
Thank goodness the ship was overnighting there.
No lineup at that time, just us at check in. We took ...
