Our Island Princess Cruise was scheduled with an itinerary from Dubai to the Red Sea / Suez Canal to the Greek Islands to Italy. Due to world events, Princess deleted the itinerary and substituted a new segment from Cape Town to Rome through the eastern Mediterranean.
This was our 45th wedding anniversary trip and we had targeted the Greek Isles as a bucket list item to check-off. Princess ...
Our first Viking Cruise was canceled due to COVID. So when my friend from Kindergarten and her husband invited us to join them, we immediately said yes. The Alsvin Ship cruise and crew were amazing. Every crew member, the hosts, the servers, the receptionists, the housekeepers, the chefs, the captains, the tour guides were so very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Prior to embarking on the ship, we ...
The only thing to say about the entertainment was that it was loud. We listened to tne full thud of it most nights in our cabin
We complained to the Dining Manager Tony ( from Croatia). Twice we told him and twice he did nothing at all. Hence the low rating
The food choice was good but with tne exception of tne street food was of a low quality. I’m not sure why I should pay extra to ...
Disappointed to say the least , I have been on about 20 cruises mostly with P&O . I've never had food poisoning before but needless to say spent a lot of time in the cabin , trying to get the money back on the trips we couldn't go on was not a good experience ,apparently we should have known not to eat the dodgy burgers on board as we were told you had to cancel the trips 48 hours in advance . The ...
Booked this cruise over a year ago to go in search of the northern lights. Relocation cruise prior to ours was cancelled due to an outbreak of gastrointestinal cases. This meant some hygiene restrictions were still in place for first few days. This did lead to some inconvenience and slow service. Some toilets were closed. After three days the restrictions were lifted and everything got back to ...
We rebooked on another bargain cruise in Yacht club on Euribia. We loved every minute and look forward to returning soon.
The yacht club is well run and all our needs were met. Fabulous staff including butler Abhi and assistant butler Timmy who spoiled us rotten. Any issues were immediately rectified by them along with the excellent concierge team.
Food was top notch and restaurant staff ...
Sailing to Northern lights: this 25 year old lady scrubbed up well, better than the old lady writing the review.
The ship had 1,090 guests on board and in places you noticed, slow service in some of the public areas and the buffet, "Borough Market", was best summed up by some other passengers as "Cattle Market". It was woeful, traffic flow down narrow passage ways a complete struggle and simply ...
This was our first Viking Cruise but we have been on may others. We heard Viking was very good and a good value, we would now agree. Our goal was to see the Northern Lights, I know they don't control that but even if we hadn't seen them ( which we did 5 nights) we would of been very happy witht the cruise. The ship was spotless and beautiful, the crew was friendly beyond belief. Everyone had a ...
This was a dream cruise for me and a high school friend. The time of year was perfect because it became early spring and none of the towns were crowded. Saw UNESCO castles and churches and Roman ruins -- and got to know some very sweet small towns where we docked by just walking around.
Everything on the ship was ideal, from room to views to tours to food. It was fun to try the regional dishes ...
We chose a Viking river cruise for our first ever cruise based upon research and reviews, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped onto the Alruna, we were made to feel at home. From our room steward, to all the wait and lounge staff, we were very spoiled. The cruise director was definitely an “energizer bunny” who was always helpful and on top of things. We absolutely felt as if ...
