The land tour (8 days with HAL) was awesome and exceeded our expectations, Anchorage/Denali/Fairbanks/Dawson City/ whitehorse/ Skagway but the sea part to Vancouver was not fun. I would not cruise with HAL on their ships again. 1. Indonesian and Filipino staff have poor English comprehension - a big problem in the case of an emergency (Costa Concordia). They try hard, but lack English ...

This was my first cruise with Celebrity and was the worst cruise vacation so far because of the services food quality and entertainment. Embarkation at Yokohama was very unorganized and confusing : no signboards directing guests where to check in their bags and where to line up for passenger check in procedures, very few guest relation staff to help out guests, insufficient chairs in the terminal ...

First the good news. We were in Aqua class and it was outstanding. The food was great for breakfast and dinner. Service was terrific and the maitre d was the best we have ever seen.Unfortunately Aqua class was the saving grace of our trip. From embarking in Shanghai onwards we were completely disappointed with all aspects of the cruise. Embarkation at Shanghai took two hours and the crew tried to ...

We are older Cruiser, who are some what experienced. We have sailed on many different cruise lines and have enjoyed them all until the Pearl. Just did not do it for us. We had a balcony stateroom that was very small, the bathroom was a closet. It was hard to sit on the toilet. They have just really cheapened the experience. The food was rather poor. Service even poorer. I felt sorry ...

I booked this cruise through http://www.carnival.com with the intention of having a very pampered, well-fed relaxing weekend, thus this is not what I received. We boarded from Long Beach on Friday June 9th. We boarded around 1:30 and looked forward to enjoying a lavish boy voyage/welcome type party with lots of good food and music and such. The welcome lunch consisted of hot dogs and burgers, ...

May 6, 2006 Los Angeles to Vancouver via Alaska, Island Princess repositioning cruise. Embarkation. We arrived early (noon), but there was already perhaps a 200 person line. People were processed quickly and efficiently. While waiting we were under a canopy and there was water and seats. We were in our room by 1pm. No problems and boy were we impressed. Ship. This French-built 3 year old ship ...
