Radiance of the Seas Review: September 16, 2006 Pacific Northwest Cruise
My husband and I departed from Vancouver, British Columbia on September 16, 2006 on a seven night Pacific Northwest one-way repositioning cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas; a relaxing voyage calling on Nanaimo and Victoria in British Columbia, Astoria Oregon and San Francisco. Our final destination was ...
This was our first cruise since 1991 (Royal Princess-Caribbean). In 15 years there have been many amenities added, all welcomed. After reflecting for four weeks after disembarking in Los Angeles, I must say that this cruise was equal in satisfaction, but not that much better. Memories fade in that time but the new features were somewhat offset by some drawbacks this cruise. This was a ...
We sailed from Vancouver on September 16; a beautiful, sunny day. Embarkation went very smoothly, we arrived at 11:30 and were on board and in the Horizon Court for lunch by 12:00 P.M. Princess had embarkation lines according to Deck, so it was quite well organized.
The ship is gorgeous, and probably the cleanest and best maintained ship we have sailed on. All areas were immaculate. Our cabin ...
Pre-cruise: Since Vancouver is a long hike from the East Coast, we came in a day early to enjoy Vancouver and make sailaway stress-free. We chose the Marriott Pinnacle (Marriott points) and give it the highest recommendation. We met 18 other members of our CC Roll Call for dinner and that set the stage for an excellent cruise. A great harbor front room, terrific service, and a wonderful breakfast ...
Some people refer to these coastals as 1-3 day "Booze Cruises" and I'm here to debunk that. Here's my recap (long overdue) of my Westerdam 1 day and if you have any Q's, PLEASE email me. I'll be happy to answer.

I've been on 2 1-Day coastals and have a 1 day and 2 3-day cruises set for this year. I not only think they're a blast but would hope that the fact I'm going on 5 within 2 years ...
My wife and I went out on the Paradise on Sept. 4th (labor day) to Catalina and Ensenada. We have never been on a cruise before and wanted to test the waters before going on a long cruise tour to Alaska in the next year or so.
We arrived about 12:00 and Embarkation had already started. Well, kind of. The waters of the harbor were a little choppier than normal and all of us had to wait in a ...
I booked this cruise through http://www.carnival.com with the intention of having a very pampered, well-fed relaxing weekend, thus this is not what I received.
We boarded from Long Beach on Friday June 9th. We boarded around 1:30 and looked forward to enjoying a lavish boy voyage/welcome type party with lots of good food and music and such. The welcome lunch consisted of hot dogs and burgers, ...
Did this very nice, short three day repositioning cruise on Infinity. (Disclaimer: We have been on Infinity four times in the last 18 months, so it is our home away from home.)
Embarkation was WONDERFUL! We always arrive early and hope to get on early. In the past we have actually been the first people aboard twice so this time was no exception. Especially for a three day cruise. So we left our ...
This was the second cruise for both my boyfriend and myself, but our first one together. I previously sailed on the Norwegian Dawn (11 day W. Caribbean) and he can't even remember what ship he cruised on last time, as his was a cruise to nowhere many years ago.
Embarkation was a snap!
We arrived at the port at about 11 AM. We had our own car and parked in the port parking lot, which is very ...
May 6, 2006 Los Angeles to Vancouver via Alaska, Island Princess repositioning cruise.
Embarkation. We arrived early (noon), but there was already perhaps a 200 person line. People were processed quickly and efficiently. While waiting we were under a canopy and there was water and seats. We were in our room by 1pm. No problems and boy were we impressed.
Ship. This French-built 3 year old ship ...
