Received a text while already in nyc saying there was a technical error with the ship preventing the prior cruise from getting to port on-time. My 10am check in was changed to 3-6pm. The lines were horrible, stood in the line for over 3 hours with no bathroom accessibility or seats. Run, run as fast as you can! The service on this ship was pathetic at best. The staff tried as hard as they could. However, I also think the lack of a proper number of staff causes burnout and permeates an "I don't care" attitude. The destination team did not provide the services advertised for Silver Cove, and the overall cruise was not worth the money. There are better experiences for the cost ...

First timers on Oceania. Embarkation in Miami was great. Quickly checked in and right onto the ship. We had one of the small suites, penthouse. Beautiful interior. Oversized outside veranda with loungers and 2 deck chairs was wonderful. Tons of storage space. Bathroom very nice. To be honest I did worry about having an inside cabin on a 17 day transatlantic cruise. BUT I was so wrong to even think that I felt like royalty the staff I must mention their names ! We booked a late deal which for the length of cruise was a great price. Slightly worried re an inside cabin however it proved better than port hole/window of the past due to clever use of mirrors creating space. Deck 9 aft amazingly quiet. We have cruised many times and have cruised with Thompson/Tui/ Marella many time and most of their ships since the Dream. We have always enjoyed them - until now.
