We chose it because of the 3 days in Bermuda. It was great. Also loved Bar Harbor and Boston. I did not like that they have eliminated the card room. Met Mah Jongg players on cruise critic but there was no place with a table big enough to play except in the buffet. Very awkward. I loved the captain’s talk on how the ship works. Very interesting. My husband and I were on NCL Escape, leaving NYC on the Memorial Day Weekend. The 3-day stopover in Bermuda gave us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the beautiful islands of Bermuda!

We absolutely loved the overall changes in decor on the Summit.
Truly beautiful.
Staff - amazing!!
Luminae continues to be great!

We traveled to Bermuda on the NCL Escape over Memorial Day 2019 for one week leaving from NYC. We had a Mid-ship Mini Suite which is really a balcony room (no suite perks) with a slightly larger and very nicely equipped bathroom.

The weather was perfection and the ports were also amazing. It is so nice to be in Bermuda multiple days - if you haven't done a multi-day port yet, you should. It is so different when there is no pressure to get back to the ship.
This ship is ship shape and one of the VERY few ships in the world to get a 100 score in regards to health/cleanliness. It shows. The staff is great.

Wanted to visit Bermuda again and the New England ports. Also wanted to go on this ship after the refurbishment.
They have made a super job of refitting the staterooms and communal rooms. Everything looks fresh and clean.

Back from the May 24, 2019 sailing of Gem to Bermuda. This was our 19th NCL cruise, and second time on the Gem. All prior reviews are posted on here.
We had an obstructed window room on Deck 8 that had two oblong porthole windows. Love these rooms for their value and location. No complaints here and our steward, Fan, was terrific.

We sailed from Cape Liberty. The port was driving distance from our home. We had a 1230-1pm boarding time. We drove directly up to the porters and luggage crates albeit a line of cars the luggage drop off went pretty smoothly. The parking garage was on the right after the terminal.
