4th time cruising, so far the worst. a few reasons why.
1) Need reservation for the iFly and North Star, which are the two biggest attractions on the boat. Spaces were gone almost immediately... Even the surfing needs reservation. Room escape looks cool, again, need reservation. What a shame!
2) Don't go in July/Aug as there are just way too many kids. The Bermuda route made it even worse ...
Royal Caribbean is no longer the Top Shelf Cruise Line. They no longer pride themselves on great service and food. Most food was mediocre and most staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. Chops Grill was unable to deliver a steak medium rare. They tried three times and it was sent back three times. An Absolute joke, that a Steakhouse that you pay extra can’t cook a steak correctly.
Only ...
We chose this cruise because it left from Boston and we could avoid flying. From the moment we boarded the ship, it was one disappointment after another. There were 3 of us in one cabin and when we booked, we were told the cabin had two twin beds and a pull out couch. There was no pull out couch, but a trundle under one of the twin beds. When we complained, we were told there was nothing they ...
I traveled The Summit before and had a great time. The karaoke was great last year which was in the Rendezvouz everynight. Let's fast forward to 7/29/2018 on the third day I got an allergic reaction to some ingredient they used i think in a cookie that was made. This happened to my brother in la and my Sister as well as another passenger i spoke with. It was a nightmare it was like 8 canker sores ...
I have been cruising for over 30 years. This trip was my daughters sweet 16. We traveled with 11 people & 4 cabins. I booked the cruise exactly 11 months prior to sailing. We had some major issues the entire cruise which I will get to later in review. In a nutshell.......Service is HORRIBLE. Every staff member was rude and not attentive. I am assuming it is because they are all guaranteed ...
My wife and I scheduled this cruise as a convenient and varied way to spend time with her mother. While getting on and off the ship should have been a breeze, it was very smooth boarding and transferring from the airport, but disembarkation was a nightmare: no taxis for 45 minutes while hundreds of us stood in the rain waiting. Sigh … it wasn't RCCL's fault, but they come and go from Bayonne ...
This was my 5th cruise, but my first on Royal Caribbean. It was definitely the worst cruise I've been on so far. The ship is just too large, too crowded, and there are lines for everything. Activities and entertainment all require reservations. I don't like having every minute of my vacation "booked." I like to do things when I am in the mood, and not worry that I have to be somewhere at a ...
We chose this cruise to travel with a few families. This was our daughter's Sweet Sixteen option in lieu of a party, along with four other friends and their families.
Although we made the best of it, we all found the ship to be overwhelmingly large. As a result of the size, the staff was not able to service with attention to detail.
The food was well below par and for such a large ...
I would really love to give this cruise 5 stars and I probably would have If guest services was not in the picture. I went with a wedding party with over 60 people. The food, entertainment and staff are all incredible. However, guest services is not. If you have an issue and have to rely on them, be prepared for nothing to happen and have to jump through hoops to get anything resolved. We had a ...
We selected Royal Carribean for our annual family vacation. We travelled with approximately 30 members. We were truly disappointed by the appearance of the vessel. The strong "rocking " motion of the ship made even the most experienced cruisers in the group ill. The drink package price is exorbitant, skip it and pay as you go. Staff is very friendly though some have difficulty ...
