The most stressful and disappointing experience ever had in over 30 cruises. We were the only British guests (may have been a couple more) on this cruise and all our paperwork was incorrect and based on the american cruiser. Telephone numbers did not work, no Bermuda waiver or correct paperwork was forthcoming, covid test timings were incorrect on our paperwork. Queued 5 hours to get on the ...
We recently cruised on the Pearl to Bermuda and stayed in The Haven. We were excited about our first vacation since before the pandemic. We applied 30 days before the trip for our Bermuda Travel Authorization and took the proctored Covid tests. You have to take a test 2 days before embarkation, which is fine. I didn't get my authorization until 8:00pm the night before so if you get it later, don't ...
Incredibly disappointed with this cruise (May '22 Miami to Montreal). Way too many issues to pay the kind of premium price that Regent commands and significantly below what they claim is a "luxury cruise experience!!!".
Start with the disaster at embarkation: Arrived as requested to find about 200+ cruisers standing in line in oppressive heat with only two stations processing people. There were ...
If this were our first cruise, we would never go cruising again.
The embarkation in NY is described as chaotic at best. Nothing indicates where you should go to drop off luggage (we parked for $200 at garage on W 58st and walked). The ship was at pier 88, and we asked a porter what to do, he said to drop bags and go to pier 90. No signs or NCL personnel anywhere directing. At pier 90, we ...
We just returned from the Epic transatlantic.
So positives first: Not so many people sailing, approx 1400 on a ship that has the capacity of over 4000 so there was always plenty of seats available in the bars and lounges and the bar and restaurant service was quick and all the staff were friendly.
Food was pretty much up to the usual Norwegian Cruise Line standard which is better than some ...
We have cruised many times with NCL. I’m a platinum member and we have always enjoyed our previous cruises, however ;this cruise was not not up to par.
Every concern had required two or more calls to get someone to address the problems in our ADA balcony cabin. The shower flooded, banging in the wall entailed completely breaking down our sliding door and adjacent wall, and the shower door ...
This was a crossing that lasted 23 days. We chose it largely for the ports. Unfortunately we were closed out of several due to Covid or weather. I understand weather as a reason for not docking, but I don't get the poor transparency. We all had to jump through the Bermuda protocol hoops prior to embarkation but then we didn't go there- likely due to folks not understanding the protocols. ...
We chose this cruise as our 1st foreign trip since covid. Check in slots are a farce. Turn up when you want. Lip service covid measures in general. They do insist on hand washing entering the buffet though. Food is average to poor with a few exceptions. Buffet at night time is really poor. Lunchtime is a much better experience with plenty of variety and some good curry dishes.
Main dining room ...
The overall cruise was above average. We enjoyed the freestyle part of the cruise.
The main reason we gave it an above average score was we had to switch rooms due to a foul sewage smell in our room.
We also had an issue with our upcharge dining at Cagney's steakhouse. They sat us then told us that we didn't have the right package for this dinning experience. We had to go to Guest services ...
Made a mistake by booking Ventura - Very noisy ship especially in the atrium with dance classes going on all day so unable to relax in the bar or coffee lounge. This went on in the evening so instead of having a pianist we had blaring music to contend with -very unpleasant so went to Glasshouse.
Excellent cabin and "Elvor" our cabin steward was very professional and did a excellent ...
