Well...Lets just say this..I had two suites 16102 and 16104...the two best ones on the ship..in the Haven as well..Thank Goodness I was able to be in the Haven because the main pool was overcrowded.. you could not find a chair..the pool is so small it's ridiculous.. not even an adult only pool! The Havens pool was so small and had kids in it.. not much Haven there.. I paid over $20k for this ...

So disappointed

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

This is the only cruise so far where I couldn't wait to get off the ship, and I was expecting something upscale from Celebrity. It was our first Family Vacation so it was definitely different from other solo/couple cruises. But the ship was underwhelming, No Wow factor at all. No central focus on the ship. Lots of mold areas in the room, and the drain didn't go down in our shower. The curtains did ...

Freestyle is a Myth on Breakaway

Unlike our several other cruises on NCL ships, my wife and I were generally disappointed with our July 21-28, 2013 Breakaway sailing. The ship is beautiful, and the execution of the New York City theme is very well done. If this ship were sized to carry 3000 passengers, it would be a delight. Unfortunately, NCL has gone too far in seeking to maximize revenue at the expense of quality, service, ...

The Good, Bad, & Shamefully Ugly.

New, bigger, and louder attributes are often hype, and an unnecessary reinvention on something that has been proven to work. For example, good, passenger-centered, and exemplary service, w/ a well trained staff. The Good The atrium and the light changing chandelier had some of the wow factor I was looking for. However, for the most part it stopped there. The entertainment was good, particularly, ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I had read that the Dawn had paper thin walls and was noisy. It's all unfortunately true. Our much needed week of rest and relaxation was not that due to the lack of sleep from noise between midnight and 3AM. We decided to try our luck at going with a guaranteed Ocean View cabin category since it was on the promotion. We were hoping NCL would treat its Latitudes members well. We had set our ...

After our first cruise on Celebrity Solstice we were sold on the cruise line. I guess our expectations were way too high. Celebrity Summit is an older ship which would have been no problem if it had just been clean. Our room was never cleaned adequately, there was a leak in our bathroom that was never fixed, amenites for "Aqua" class guests were non-existent. I guess if you want to call tea ...

TOO MANY PEOPLE!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

My husband, my 2 sons (23 & 21)& I had high hopes for the brand new ship, and even though the ship is beautifully decorated, and somewhat larger, they have doubled the number of passengers, and it is TOO MANY! Everyone we talked to in the very crowded elevators, very crowded dining rooms, and very small pool for adults , said the exact same thing. There is 1 adult pool, which is not nearly large ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I departed from Boston on 6/7/2013 to Bermuda with my parents and three brothers. Everybody was over the age of 18. The cruise did not start out on a good note. The Boston Bruins were playing the Pittsburgh Penguins in game four of the Semi Finals and many Bruins fans were onboard (the cruise did depart from Boston). The first thing the family did was head to the sports bar to ask if they would be ...

Norwegian Breakaway Needs Vast Improvement

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

User Avatar

After 35 cruises, I can unequivocally say that this was the worst cruise I have ever encountered. it began with a cabin steward on Deck 10 that even though was told by superiors that he needed to make improvements, could not provide good service. The cabin was dirty ( I cleaned it myself). Towels were an issue. Vacuuming did not occur. The lines for restaurants were long. I believe the incentive ...
