Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Joy

A group of 61 of us came on this cruise and Bermuda has been always on my list to visit. I have been on 10 cruises and this is my 2nd with Norwegian. Going out of NYC was a hot mess. 8 times I have gone out of Miami. We left the ferry from weehawken and had to use maps on our phones where to go. Once we entered the pier, it was a hot mess. People were lined up waiting to board like it was Newark ...

This is definitely a cruise for family with little kids. They are just running around, noisy and messy. First the pros. The crew is very friendly and very professional. We were very grateful for their services. The shows were exceptional and very entertaining, catering for not only for kids. The stateroom that we were in (Veranda) is very nice. One particular good point is they have a separate ...

Old and tired

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Carnival Legend

My wife and I wanted to relax and clear our heads from some recent events and Costco had a decent offer for us. I'm just going to bullet point the main items and let everyone fill in the rest. * The ship is in need of a big refresh. It is old and tired. Many small items......to many to mention, just hit a few big ones. * Elevators were possessed. Press a floor button, doors close, feels ...

Noisiest experience of our lives!

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Carnival Magic

Chose this cruise because we could drive to the starting point. At the very beginning we were assaulted with ear splitting music in the lobby where arriving passengers were held. Everything Carnival did in terms of music or announcements was at 1000 decibels. The Southern Lights dinning room was as loud as a middle school basketball game and the food was only ordinary, The Lido Deck food was far ...

Decided to try this line after many cruises on Norwegian and others. Stayed in a concierge veranda room on deck 7. The accommodations were so tight as to be uncomfortable. I am 5ft4 and 132 pounds and could barely shower in that tiny stall. Another passenger actually fell out of the shower and hit his head on the toilet and showed up at breakfast with stitches the next morning. The food ranged ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

We usually cruise only Carnival and decided to try MSC as the price good for a family cruise to Bermuda. We traveled with 10 people in 3 cabins. Overall the ship is beautiful. The food was normal cruise food with a few outstanding offerings at the buffet. We didn’t eat at any of the speciality restaurants. Always was able to get a chair at the pool and the kids (3 yo and three 6 yo) had a ...

MSC misses the mark. Does not deliver the cruise experience it needs to compete with other cruise lines.

We booked our 1st cruise experience on MSC Meriviglia for a 16 day cruise to Bermuda and then on to the New England and Canada. THE SHIP: I will say that the MSC Meriviglia is a beautiful ship which can hold up to 5,000 passengers. We have been on the Oasis + Allure of the Seas so we have some experience being on a ship this size. While the Oasis and Allure of the seas can hold 6,500 ...

We chose this cruise because we were docked in Bermuda for 2 nights. One of the best islands we've been to. This being our second cruise on this ship we knew what to expect and frankly nothing changed for the better. RC still nickles and dimes you but they deliver plenty to do and you always feel comfortable with the line and what your experience will be. Food was mostly good especially Chops. ...

Finest Cuisine at Sea?

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Insignia

User Avatar

Oceania brands itself boldly with the claim "Finest Cuisine at Sea" but I did not feel this was the case. It's a shame, since Insignia is a beautiful ship, the crew was amazing, and there were lots of great things about this cruise. But given the premium price compared to strong brands like Holland America, Disney, Celebrity and others, it just wasn't a good value. And for dining, it was often not ...

We chose the cruise because of the price and the itinerary to Bermuda…we wanted our friends you came with us to see Bermuda and they did love it the food was very average with the exception of some of the soups and the bread which were excellent…since it was Italian line we thought the pasta would be exceptional but that was not the case..although pizza was very good The latte was ...
