We chose this voyage primarily for transport from then UK to USA to avoid airports and flying. Embarkation went very smoothly if ‘green line’ access had been secured through pre Voyage registration however the majority of guests had not done so with ‘blue line’ entry crowded and slow, compounded by departure being delayed to wait for guests delayed at Heathrow airport.
The ship’s interior is ...
Normally, we do not write reviews and on this transatlantic cruise we enjoyed our Cabin Steward and some of the entertainment staff. As I read some of the reviews I fully agree with the negatives concerning The World Market Place, and the poor WI-FI. We felt for one young woman who is a remote worker and she could not connect. And yes the Cruise Director made a joke of this. The main dining was ok ...
We've just returned from a trip on the Borealis to Norway and the Shetland Isles, The staff were amazing and very attentive.
The ship appeared clean, though I didn't see any anti virus sprays being used, just area's wiped down with the same cloth, that would of actually spread the virus. And we had lots of dust buddies under the beds.
However, the beds were super comfy and the pillows, we ...
Our first cruise with MSC; we have just returned from a week around the Ffords. It is truly a stunning ship however I am not too sure if we will return. It would take a good deal to tempt us back.
The ship was full and didn’t we know it. Queues everywhere (and I mean everywhere)! There felt a chronic lack of outdoor space – luckily, we were blessed with gorgeous weather but if it was raining ...
I chose this cruise for the fjords scenery and my balcony cabin was lovely but on either side of me were noisy, very noisy families with teenage kids who shouted etc, all the time, making my balcony unusable at times. The dining in the main restaurant was good, probably the best part of the cruise apart from my lovely cabin. The buffet was a scrum, lots of bad mannered people, mess etc, queue ...
Very sad and frustrating for us, as we have previously been lucky to have cruised on Regal and Sky Princess five times within the last year. Only sating this as we anticipated similar standards across the ship. Regrettably it was not to be.
First the ship is clean, well maintained and an easy layout since we have sailed on this class of ship before. The itinerary was not what Cruise Critic ...
We wanted to visit Guernsey and this 2 night mini cruise seemed a good way to do it. We have previously cruised with MSC on the Bellissima and Fantasia in Dubai and the Med and had very good experiences but unfortunately not this time. Easy boarding at 2 pm but kept waiting for luggage which eventually arrived at 7pm. Every attempt to trace or collect my case was shrugged off. One passengers case ...
This cruise was chosen as a taster cruise for my two grandaughters aged 7 and 11 and as a special treat.
My husband and I carefully chose our family cabin, which we were pleased with on the first night, but the second night we had to ring reception twice at half 1am and again at 1-45am to complain about the the noise of music going on at a party two floors above (am guessing it was the White ...
My wife and I chose Viking because it runs smaller ships and after three years without cruising believed this to be a safer option following COVID. This was our first time on Viking after 30+ cruises with other cruise companies. It was probably the worst.
We made the decision to sail from Bergen to Montreal and then a second cruise from Montreal to New York 26 days in all. We saw the best and ...
We appreciate you taking the time to detail your recent voyage, Carlisle Man, as such feedback allows us to better understand how to deliver the five-star experience for which we strive....
I wanted to try MSC and this seemed a good price for 12 days out of Southampton. Bad choice.
With over 5,000 adults AND 1500 children but only 1700 staff, it was complete bedlam from embarkation to final day home.
The staff were completely overworked and overwhelmed.
Children completely overtook the pools, Jacuzzis, deck loungers, buffet,m just everywhere. There was only one bar that was ...
