Chosen as a quick get away for half term with our young children. Embarkation was not the usual standard RCI provide at the pier. We were travelling in a suite and got moved from suite line to regular line and ended up waiting an age. The ships makeover has done her good. The activities for the children were brilliant and they loved exploring. Even though there were over 1000 children onboard it ...
Booked this cruise as had a money off certificate from the last RCI cruise.
Embarkation took 10 minutes, we must have lucked out and arrived at the perfect time (1pm)
Overall really enjoyed the cruise. Ship was clean with lovely decor. Stateroom was a good size (Balcony room) and the attendant did his thing every day very well.
Dining. Food in the MDR was OK but nothing special, buffet ...
Very dated ship. Mainly elderly passengers. Nothing on during the day except bridge bingo and handicrafts. More like a floating care home. Tour operator extremely unhelpful.. Don't book flam railway through olsen it's a lot cheaper to do yourself and there were plenty of seats. Guest service manager very helpful as had to move cabins as extremely noisy. Noticed a lot of cutbacks. Eg no conditioner ...
Having been a loyal customer of another cruise line, but having recently enjoyed the Viking River Cruise experience, we gambled and took our 1st cruise with Viking Ocean. What a GREAT Decision. Viking ticks all the boxes for us. No photographers chasing us around the ship, no formal nights and no wasted ship space for a gambling area. The smaller ship with fewer guests was a welcome change and ...
We recently did the 12 day cruise from Norway to Iceland on the Viking Sky. We usually cruise with Regent so we curious to see how the Viking Ocean Cruises compared to Regent. Everything about this cruise exceeded our expectations and in fact, we booked another Viking cruise while on the ship.
Ship - Everything is clean from the decor to the housekeeping. Everything sparkles!
Service - ...
Embarkation at mayflower terminal in Southampton was excellent and trouble free. By the time we had a quick lunch on-board, our luggage was to be found outside our cabin on Egypt deck. The cabin was exactly as we have become accustomed to on P and O ships – small, clean, and adequate for what we need. We knew in advance that the window was totally obscured by a life-boat and so it didn’t bother ...
always wanted to see the Norwegian coastline and this cruise did not disappoint. From the snow covered mountains to the hustle and bustle of Bergen - and RCI did a good job organising everything.
we didn't have a drink package on this trip due to all the shore time and this worked well. Furthermore, the embarkation and back to back arrangements went well (nearly everything) the food was ...
My husband I were on MSC Preziosa for the 11-night Northern Europe cruise (May 26 - June 6). We picked this cruise because of the itinerary which included Hamburg, cities in Scotland and Iceland. The ship interior was beautiful and the public area was clean. This was our first cruise with MSC. We have cruised over 10 times with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian. We were disappointed by MSC ...
The itinerary was excellent. Love that cruise ships going out of Dublin. The required need to use shuttle buses from makeshift passenger terminal was awkward. Much better at disembarktion. The staff friendly and very helpful. Food and overall service excellent. Staff did great job having cabins ready when guests boarded. Embarking and Disembarking was very smooth most of the time. Enjoyed ...
We loved our cruise of the Baltic on board the Arcadia. Having been disappointed by many aspects of life on Britannia we were a little apprehensive about another P&O ship. We didn’t need to worry Arcadia met up to all our expectations. We were surprised to find out that the ship had actually been built for the Holland America Line which we love and several aspects of the ships Design were clearly ...
