Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

Sailed from Hamburg in the Yacht Club. Check in a breeze, was met at the tent outside in front of the terminal, our bags were taken, a butler took us to check in, no waiting. Took approx 30 mins from the tent to being served a drink in the YC lounge. our cabin was ready 1 hour later at 11.15 am. Our cabin was very spacious and well set out, with much more storage than you will ever need. ...

Searching for Northern Lights cruise

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Island Princess

We recently completed a 14-day Search for the Northern Lights cruise to Norway. Although we had quite a few days with rough seas, the Island Princess handled the seas well. Our cabin was spacious and the balcony was larger than on many ships. Some of the cabin furnishings clearly need to be replaced. Our mini-suite couch and chair looked very worn. The bed also had clear indentations of where ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

This was actually my third trip on the MSC Virtuosa. The first was a round UK one during covid and was a strange, too quiet experience with skeleton staff. Next was a short cruise with my 17 year old grand daughter last year- much more fun, but the service at bars etc was really poor and slow. but this cruise offer of a 15 night all inclusive with a balcony, visiting France, Spain and Morocco, for ...

Really a 3.5 star review

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

I booked this cruise almost 12 months in advance for myself and wife also a cabin for my daughter and her partner. I had a senior moment when booking and used my daughters ex partners surname on the booking. The christian name was correct and also the DOB. I called to change the surname when I realised some two weeks later. We are still talking some 11 months from sail date and got charged £50 ...

Beautiful ship, but shame about the extra costs and bar service

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

We chose MSC as had friends sail on their ships before. We booked at a great price, as we were travelling as a family of 4, so tried to keep our costs down. The ship is stunning and customer service was extremely impressive, EXCEPT for the bars. Each bar seemed massively understaffed (one even ran out of glasses), and ignored you unless you were sitting right in front of them. We didn’t purchase a ...

Good, Not Great

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Dawn

Friends whom we met last year on a long Viking cruise urged us to join them on a Copenhagen-Copenhagen r/t and said that 'SilverSea (SS)was like Viking, only better". We disagree. It's 'like' Viking--NOT identical. We read many reviews before (and after) our cruise. What's better on SS? Embarkation and disembarkation were better handled than on Viking. For some reason, those pose as ...

Below is a brief review of our sailing on Queen Mary 2, September 20-29, 2023, 9 nights, from Hamburg to Southampton and on to New York. This was part of a 5 week trip that began in Milan, Italy at the end of August, and included a 7 night sailing on the Azamara Onward from Rome to Venice. We were in an Interior cabin with a window overlooking the multi-story lobby. We had noticed these ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

NCL GETAWAY 9/15-10/1 16 DAY WESTERN EUROPEAN CRUISE THE GOOD: The food was uniformly good. Whether in the main dining room, the buffet or the specialty dining rooms I had no complaint. Plentiful servings promptly served. Entertainment was top notch. The dancers in "BURN THE FLOOR" were as energetic as one could imagine. The "MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET" was superb. All 4 of the ...

A great cruise and I am not sorry that the ship will leave the fleet.

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Firenze

User Avatar

I know Costa as a place for great Italian food, vibrant entertainment, beautiful ships and a well functioning service. Now I took just a short time out on a repositioning cruise around Western Europe. I wanted to sail on Costa Firenze, because she and her sister Venezia caused very positive and very negative reactions and I wanted to have an impression on my own before the ship will leave the ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Ambience

We chose this cruise for its destinations and following the recommendation of a friend who went last year. It is now 11 days since we left Ambience in Tilbury and travelled back home to southern France. This was our first ever cruise, and it was truly an adventure. After a lovely visit to Torshavn Faroes,we set sail towards Greenland. During the night the winds strengthened and life became ...
