Just returned from three week cruise on Riviera. Have cruised with them before but I think they have gone downhill. Many small problems. Late for several excursion because of management issues. Three tours was cut short because of problems but we were offered no compensation. Twice we had serious tender issues and once had to be towed back to ship. Crew was good but I think there are management ...
We loved Oceania so we booked a trip from Iceland, through Greenland, Canada, and the coast, to New York. Plenty of headaches leaving and returning to the ship because of the tenders. Lots of ineptness by the staff. Plenty of "hurry up and wait." We arrived in Reykjavik at 6:30 a.m. and were taken to a hotel but first, we waited for an hour at the airport as the staff tried to find our names and ...
This was our first cruise with MSC. We chose this cruise because if the itinerary, especially Hamburg and Amsterdam. We really liked the ship its self, which is very grand, and our cabin was quite spacious with a small “Juliet” balcony. However, we were very disappointed with some aspects of the cruise.
Amsterdam
The main problem was Amsterdam. When we booked, the ship was going to dock ...
I've never been on such a disappointing cruise. And the shame is that since I was in a concierge floor veranda stateroom and didn't want to share a room, I paid almost $20,000 for two weeks of over-the-top mediocrity. The best things were the steward on my floor, the mostly prompt room service and the organization at meals which is a good thing because on Riviera you eat from the buffet for all ...
The price was good and the date fit our schedule. The cabins are in need of an update, but they are due for one shortly. The tv needs to be across from the bed, instead of at a weird angle. Our room attendant was very good, and we could count on him to get it right. The restaurant servers were hit and miss. Some were excellent, and some clearly did not enjoy their jobs.
The shows were pretty ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to revisit some of the destinations again & the value for money
Muster what a joke this is how you put your lifejacket on
Produce your passports at 7:30 am ??? never went we are on holiday and when we asked others they did not attend either
Register your debit card onboard yourself and if you do not spend minimum then you get back in euros by going to ...
We started sailing on the Scenic Ruby but due to low water changed to the Scenic Crystal. I didn’t realise there were water level issues and its a lesson for all to note that. We were lucky to have a scenic boat coming the other other way and passengers simply changed. We had an excellent cruise director Alex who managed the lot.
The facilities were excellent on every level of accommodation, ...
Viking came highly recommended by several friends and I now know why! From the ship to the service level, everything was first class!!! Viking is now our cruising choice!!!!!! They far exceeded our expectations and offer a far superior cruising experience than what we found with other cruise lines. The educational programs were exceptional! The food was amazing and we loved how they aligned menu ...
Our trans Atlantic cruise was great when we visited our destinations but cold & rainy during the 5 days we crossed the Atlantic. This meant we were confined to the inside of the ship for the 5 day crossing. There were plenty of diversions & activities inside the ship which made the crossing fun although it would have been nice to be able to use the pool & hot-tubs. The food was no better or ...
Friends who had travelled on many cruise lines before suggested that Viking was now one of the top - so well worth considering if we wanted to cruise.
The entire cruise and the staff who looked after us were superb. The ship never seems crowded / no queuing in the restaurants. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. More expensive than some other cruise lines but you only get what you pay ...
