Not for the English speaking!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

We had sailed previously on MSC Preziosa in the Caribbean which was just a glorified bus service picking up and dropping off people at each port which we found odd as no other cruise line seems to do this. This caused congestion at every port getting on and off. The food on board was at best average and the portions in the main restaurants very small. And once the staff found out that you ...

Not enough seating in lounge areas

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

Not a fan of big ships but chose this cruise for the itinerary. Thought with the port visits we could deal with the number of passengers. Ship is very nice and kept clean. What it suffers from is lack of staff serving in lounge areas for ordering drinks and receiving them. Long delays! Also being able to find a seat was also an issue - especially on sea days. Due to a storm in the English Channel ...

Queues queues and more queues

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Having done 18 cruises, I thought it would be nice to try MSC for the first time. Upon arriving by car at the dock, I have always been used to my luggage being taken from me at my car (RCI), this did not happen and we had to join a long queue to drop our bags off before entering the terminal. After dropping our bags, there were more long queues to get through security and then to check in. Have an ...

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Arcadia

I flew from Houston to London and arrived the day before the cruise. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Heathrow and would highly recommend it. This was my first time on P&O Cruises. It mainly caters to British cruisers and many of the passengers I met have only cruised P&O. Their website states that their Elegant Nights are very formal. Many of the men wore tuxes, but some wore a jacket ...

Hadn’t been to 3 of the ports, and 10 nights sounded good. Didn’t anticipate having to constantly pay for transfers from the ship to the destination! It’s a big ship and therefore had to dock in commercial docks, Entertainment - the shows were first class but during g the day was pretty poor Food was excellent- although busy on sea days! Definitely take the drinks package, great ...

Not what I expected of NCL

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

I chose this cruise because I had previously sailed with NCL "Spirit" and had a wonderful time. The ship and the crew were terrific. This time - on the plus side the crew, as always were a delight. NCL have some of the most wonderful crew members. There were plenty of dining areas and the food was acceptable The price I paid, as a solo traveller in an inside cabin, was a real ...

We did a dozen of cruises on almost all mainstream cruise lines, but this was our first one on MSC. Having sailed with Costa though we knew a bit what to expect. We did the cruise with friends who where first time cruisers. I chose the Euribia on this 6 day Hamburg to Southampton cruise for a couple of reasons. First of all the opportunity to try a big ship. We have only been on smaller ships and ...

Newest ship but not the best

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

MSC is offering good prices, but you get what you paid for. I general ship is good, new, nice and clean. Good services, not very crowded, except plaza, which is not plaza, but place for traffic jam. Food is ok, coffee is real trash, small portions for dinners in main restaurant, but you always can eat more and more in main buffet. TV is locked to hotel mode, and you can’t hook anything to USB, ...

Beautiful ship. Very clean. Unfortunately that's where it ends. Food was mediocre at best. Most meats and fish were overcooked even if we specified the way we liked it done. Most meals came luke warm at best. Never hot except for some soups. Even at breakfast we ordered eggs benedict and the yolk was rock hard. Complaining went nowhere. We took the "Drink package" for a few hundred dollars ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Holland America Rotterdam

We based our decision to cruise Holland after sailing with the line 2 times in the past and being extremely happy with exceptional service. However, I am sure a lot is the loss of crew members after COVID but also the age factor. It was not something we knew beforehand but did figure the line itself is for mature adults 50plus. The majority it appeared were over 75-95! We found on this ...
