Long review, which i'm also emailing to P&O.
We have cruised 12 times on Tui and Royal Caribbean previously and never had a complaint but this cruise was different. Eight of us went on this cruise, 3 who hadn't been on a ship before.
Gripe number 1. On the morning of the Celebration night, tuxedos and fancy dresses ready, one of our party, browsing the P&O app saw that our booking for ...
I like to think we are regular cruisers (1-2 a year) and have sampled Royal Carribean, P & O, Cunard and Princess. Before COVID I liked the eccentric touches of turn down with chocolates, paying additional for superior dining experiences but overall the freedom to tailor your holiday as you go. We did a British isles tour with princess in September 2021 which masks aside was relatively normal. The ...
We went on this cruise as it was our anniversary and my daughters 30th. We went a Costa cruise before and it was a WOW factor, unfortunately I can't say the same for P&O Cruise. They give u an app that u must book restaurants and entertainment. Our app stopped working after the first day, went to reception 3 times to ask different stewards to help us but no one could help. We took the non ...
We chose Iona for our first P&O cruise based on the destination, and also the fact that a British no-fly cruise was probably easiest for our first post-covid cruise. Booking was simple, however the website once you've booked is probably one of the worst I've ever used. Glitches were present every time you logged in, from issues with payments to ports and excursions not showing. Thankfully socal ...
We wanted to try a big ship and go to the fjords. We landed on the Iona with it being a newish ship. We are not one for reviews and feel that people do not give context. We have cruised six times with Oceania, Regent and Seabourn. We are late fifties, fit, enjoy all sorts of food, happy with none branded items so long as they are of good quality, enjoy nice wine, understand good service and ...
This was our first time cruising the Baltic Sea. The Covid precautions were excellent with daily testing which was easy to undertake and not inconvenient. Service onboard was of very high standard. Food quality very good in all areas of the ship. Lovely spa and gym. We were able to play both table tennis and mini golf on board. We went on the included excursions and paid for the one to Berlin ...
Because of the world political situation the cruise itinerary had to be altered omitting St. Petersburg and Tallinn. But other delightful ports were substituted resulting in a wonderful experience. The meals were excellent in all of the venues. Cocktails in the Explorers' Lounge before dinner with entertainment by Zeus and views over the ship's bow was a pleasure. The entertainment in the ...
We chose this cruise 4 years ago in 2018. It was postponed twice due to the pandemic. We finally sailed in 2022 but due to the war, St. Petersburg Russia and Tallinn Estonia were removed from the itinerary. Viking did a spectacular job shuffling ports to make a fantastic trip. We spent 2 nights in Oslo, Norway's capital in addition to some other new ports. All were done well. Kudos to Viking ...
My wife and I had a beautiful cruise on the Viking Venus. Since the cruise was not at capacity, I felt like we were treated like royalty. Everything was great, no complaints. Our meals and the entertainment were excellent. Our room steward did a fantastic job and was always on time for the spit collection. There were plenty of spots on the ship for filling quiet time.
The Viking provided ...
We had a fabulous cruise aboard MSC Virtuosa and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Would have given 5 stars but as in all MSC cruises we have been on, their shore excursions department let us down. More about that later. Hence would give this cruise a solid 4.5 stars out of 5.
We drove from Ickenham to Southampton and took us less than 1.5hrs. Parked the car just outside the cruise ...
