We aren't people who spend time in a hotel room, so basic rooms that are adequate are fine. Adequate being the operative word. The room consists of a large bed with two overhead beds. Yes the bunk beds are above the adults head so you are unable to sit up. The above bed is not able to sleep an adult and our 10 year old child is unable to sit in bed without banging his head. Beyond the ship is beautiful and clean, there were a few aspects to this cruise that were not enjoyable at all.
Horizon buffet area is sooooo busy and a bun fight to get food, no one knows where anything is there there are no signs that determine the Italian food from the Asian food etc, the milk is not real the coffee is awful. Everyone is bumping into everyone all the time.

Embarkation at Southampton was very speedy, we were concierge class which gives you a faster queue or in our case, no queue. My wife and I just completed a 12-night Baltic cruise on the Marina. Our previous cruise was a 12-night Med cruise in the summer several years ago on the Celebrity Solstice.

This was our 5th cruise with MSC so we knew what to expect.
Having been on the newer, larger ships I have to say we were somewhat disappointed with the Sinfonia despite the extension and revitalisation. On the plus side it was small enough to get round very easily but on the negative side it wasn't anywhere near as glitzy and food was pretty poor in comparison to previous MSC cruises.
