Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Star Legend

This review is written by a couple that has done 9 Windstar cruises since 2003. Obviously one continues to return for a great experience but this review will outline why we will search the market again before we decide which cruise line to choose for our next experience. Over 100 people on this cruise have sailed with Windstar multiple times but day after day we spoke to people who felt similar ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We aren't people who spend time in a hotel room, so basic rooms that are adequate are fine. Adequate being the operative word. The room consists of a large bed with two overhead beds. Yes the bunk beds are above the adults head so you are unable to sit up. The above bed is not able to sleep an adult and our 10 year old child is unable to sit in bed without banging his head. If you want to watch ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

Beyond the ship is beautiful and clean, there were a few aspects to this cruise that were not enjoyable at all. Horizon buffet area is sooooo busy and a bun fight to get food, no one knows where anything is there there are no signs that determine the Italian food from the Asian food etc, the milk is not real the coffee is awful. Everyone is bumping into everyone all the time. The ballroom ...

Is it a 3 star or a 5 star ship?

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was our first cruise with Celebrity and after reading all the great reviews our expectations may have been too high. The good points. Embarkation at Southampton was very speedy, we were concierge class which gives you a faster queue or in our case, no queue. We were very happy with the cabin's size and the excellent bathroom which had enough storage space and more for all our toiletries etc. ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

My wife and I just completed a 12-night Baltic cruise on the Marina. Our previous cruise was a 12-night Med cruise in the summer several years ago on the Celebrity Solstice. I honestly have to say that the experience was as about the same for both cruises. That is, until you compare prices. The Med cruise was about $2500 pp. This one was over $7000 pp. So, the price performance ratio was ...

Good Cruise, excellent ports

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Sinfonia

This was our 5th cruise with MSC so we knew what to expect. Having been on the newer, larger ships I have to say we were somewhat disappointed with the Sinfonia despite the extension and revitalisation. On the plus side it was small enough to get round very easily but on the negative side it wasn't anywhere near as glitzy and food was pretty poor in comparison to previous MSC cruises. The ...

What to expect on a 5* ship?

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Before I start it’s maybe good to know that this was my first cruise ever. So I don’t know if my expectations are maybe too high. For me I compare this 5* ship with an at least 4* hotel. I travelled together with my brother who was cruising years ago with Costa. The embarkation was very smoothly. On-board they told us that the rooms were not ready yet, but if we wanted to lunch we may use the ...

Cruise date 1.8. 15 - Baltic First thing is - Don't Book Early! We heard so many people who'd booked well in advance and had paid way over what others ( including us) had paid even after taking off things like onboard credit they still paid much more. Ship boards at 12 noon but no room access until 4 pm - indoors communal areas is mostly in the dining halls ( deck 15) or the ...

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Eurodam

We have been on about 14 cruises, various lines, and multiple HAL ones. This had it's share of good and bad and ugly. The ship is getting old and a little shabby, but otherwise OK. They should paint the hallways of the staterooms another color other than drab gray to brighten things up. The old photos of ships and cruise liners from the past were nice, but better legends would have made them ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

User Avatar

This was the cruise I wanted to take, it offered the most time in St. Petersburg and you are going to need it. All the other ports of call were wonderful and just beautiful. I am a Royal Carribean loyalist. I like the layout of the ships and Serenade was no surprise. She is a beautiful older lady who sadly is showing her age. I was disappointed to see rust in our bathroom and the curtains over our ...
