Disclaimer: This review is shaded a happy hue due to this vacation being an opportunity to celebrate our son's recent graduation from college.
If you don't want to read the entire review I will begin with the summary. We had a very good time during our seven day cruise. This partially refurbished ship is still the Celebrity Equinox, the staff remain as friendly and hard working as ever, ...
Incredible experience overall....
This was our 40th (or so) cruise. Just when I think cruises can’t get any better, along comes Symphony.
Initial caveat: My wife and I have a deal - as soon as we complain about cruising, we’re done (I’ve put this caveat on previous reviews as well). If you’re looking for an unappreciative/whining/etc. review, move on to another one. It continues to ...
Dear Carnival,
My husband and I recently enjoyed an 8 day cruise on the Carnival Magic’s. We have been long time cruisers on Carnival as well as Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Celebrity.
I wanted to share our recent experience.
We left on Saturday, June 22 from Fort Lauderdale. We drove to the port from Orlando. Parking and our embarkation was incredibly easy. We sailed through ...
We have sailed on Holland, Disney, Carnival, Norwegian and Royal. MSC by far out performs and outshines all of the previous cruises we have taken.
We we nervous taking this trip after reading so many negative reviews online. After sailing on the MSC Seaside, I don’t know what cruise the negative reviewers were on but they obviously weren’t on the same ship we were on.
No cruise line is ...
This was a very relaxing cruise -- mostly stayed on the ship as I've been to the Caribbean's many times.
I was very disappointed with the food. I am a picky eater but normally when cruising I stick closely to the Blue Iguana Cantina Burrito bar. That didn't work out so well as the shrimp was very salty. Needless to say, that was off my list for the duration of the 8-day cruise. Overall, I ...
Wife and I try to do two cruises a year. This cruise was our 2nd of the year, and our 2nd on the Equinox.
We have been on this ship 3 times in the last 18 months, so we feel like we know every nook & cranny at this point. We usually sail with family, but this time it was just us celebrating our anniversary.
WHY CELEBRITY?
If you are reading this review, I am going to assume that you are ...
Sailed with friends, some of whom had not been to the ports of call. The Ocean Medallion worked exactly as promised and made sailing a breeze. Embarkation, once you get past the TSA, was the easiest I have every experienced and debarkation was just as easy. Be careful, the medallion makes it very easy to spend your money!
Our only complaint was the excursion in Roatan to visit the Garifuna ...
The ship is pretty, the food is good, the crew is pleasant. BUT
There is constant pressure to buy "Specialty Dining" packages at inflated prices, excursions at inflated prices, jewelry, perfume, art and spa treatments. Very insistent pressure.
If you cruise at the "Bella" experience (cheapest "level"), there are parts of the ship you cannot access and the bar staff will be much less ...
Well just returned from a 7 day on the Celebrity Equinox. Let’s talk about the positive notes first. Nice ship. Excellent crew, unbelievable Captain. She was at all the major functions and saying bye to everyone when we all left. The very first captain I ever saw at all the shows and around the ship greeting everyone. Our OV cabin was better than the one we had on the Reflection. This time the ...
went on this cruise as a family of 4 2 adults a 15year old and a 4 year old. Embarktion was quick and easy on within 20 minutes. Ship was stunning.Everything was new and sparkly, very modern. Our cabin was 10262 deck 10rightat the back with a metal railing. We found this location great very quiet and right next to the glas elevators which where always empty unlike elsewhere on the ship which could ...
