The Epic is by far the worst ship in the Norwegian line. This cruise it was loaded down with about 4300 passengers. I was totally incapable of accommodating this number of passengers. The lines were endless and everywhere. A number of things did not work. Average wait time for a drink on the pool deck 20 minutes. Finding a chair impossible. Finding a seat in the buffet, almost impossible. ...

Avoid*** Everything has dropped in quality since our cruise on the same ship, same itinerary in 2022. We later found out the trained staff was moved to Icon of the Seas, and Wonder has a new untrained staff. Same for all the bells , whistles, and budgets. This was the absolute worst cruise I have ever experienced. The rooms on the Epic were shabby and smelly. The food options were horrible. The staff members were rude, entertainment options were all substandard. The staff working at the Garden Cafe and horrible parents allowed their children to play in the buffet food. The food is just awful, no other way to describe. Tbe rice in the buffet put a whole new level of Al dente. Buffet is tge worst, hard to believe any chef would put that stuff out. We have decided to give MSC a try for a short cruise with a group of friends. For background: we are seasoned cruisers, have tried almost all mass market lines (Carnival, RCI, NCL, Princess) and are Elite on Princess, which is our preferred line. The ship was nice, but it is made for seniors. I am an active senior but I spent most of my time in the room. I paid for 3 excursions and got to do none of them. In all, I lost over $1000 on excursions. They are not worth it. Just shop in the city near the ship. Booked the Concierge level for this cruise, and would not recommend. First 2 days had no service until we went to Guest Relations to complain. Kept waiting for steward to show up. Did not get the perks that were to be in the room, like the champagne and tote bag. Had to ask for the bag and the necklace that every cabin received. Two small pools and a solarium pool.
