My wife and I just returned from a 5-night Caribbean Cruise on Wonder, our third post-Covid and our first since hitting Diamond. My brother and sister-in-law also cruised with us. This was our second Oasis-class (first was Symphony) and it was “Wonder”-ful overall! We chose this cruise as it was an opportunity to cruise on Royal's newest, biggest ship since it got redirected from China to ...
ABOUT OUR PARTY: My husband and I, both in our 60's, have cruised on this ship twice before in 2010 and 2012 when it was still the "Destiny." We were eager to see how the refurb changed the ship and to experience the Port of Charleston. This was a five-day cruise visiting Nassau and Half Moon Cay. We cruised with our daughter, her husband, and our 8 and 10-year-old grandchildren.
THE NIGHT ...
Harmony itself was great but you can tell they are still struggling to get on their feet post Covid.
The good: We had a great cabin attendant. As usual my family of four (two adults and two teenagers) put him through the ringer with keeping up and he didn't disappoint. Cabin was perfect the entire time. This service is what we've come to love about RCCL. The Windjammer is good for grab ...
Just wanted to get away on our 17th cruise and thought why not try this new ship. Generally, we wait at least 6 months before attempting a cruise on a new ship. This worked pretty well. The food service staff seemed to need further training but I will give this a pass due to Covid hiring issues. Appreciated the service crew serving everyone and hope that HA will permanently continue this for ...
We chose to do 22 days through Panama Canal sailing from New York to Victoria. Covid came and went, so did our original cruise which was changed post covid to 15 days Panama Canal + a 25% credit if we chose not to cancel. We added our 'extra 7 days' to incorporate a back to back Western Caribbean cruise, this time from Miami instead of New York, which was then changed to the Eastern Caribbean. ...
There was a nice deal for a 2-night getaway. We originally booked a balcony but used the upgrade option to get into a Yacht Club grand deluxe suite. MSC Yacht Club is worth every penny. Your luxury experience starts the moment you arrive at the port. The expedited service through embarkation was a must. We were escorted directly to the special Yacht Club area on the boat for drinks and snacks and ...
I have been on many cruises and had not be on an Oasis class ship. This seemed like a no brainer. I have not been on Princess cruises either. After this cruise, I realized why I left Royal to go to other lines. In short, the ship is very good. It has multiple areas so things do not get too congested. It is very kid friendly and geared towards that type of clientele. The entertainment was OK--Cats ...
I loved the Ship. It is a modern ship with excellent amenities and the staff is Superb. Everyone on the ship made me feel welcome and it was as If I was the only one on board.
The restaurants are excellent and exceptional service. Food was delicious and have no complaints about the restaurant.
I do have 2 suggestions.
1. I know Virgin is trying to be different from the "Other ...
I am cruiser and have tried Rcl , carnival, Ncl , Disney and Holland. First time to experience Virgin voyages ( adult only cruise). Cruise ship maximum passengers around 2500 but there were only 600 when we did the cruise. Love the attentiveness of the staffs, friendliness, and awesome service. There’s always hand sanitizers everywhere, crews always wears masks , and cleanliness throughout the ...
This was our first cruise (in our early 60s) and we thought this would be less stuffy, less crowded and probably more enjoyable for the lack of children - we were right. The ship is quirky and fun and whilst it took a while to find our way around, we soon got into the swing of things.
It was easy to book into our chosen restaurants, though there were only about 600 passengers on a 2700 ...
