July 17-21, 2016 First Family Reunion on cruise ship and was it disappointing. I've cruised on several Carnival ships and the Victory is the worst experience ever. Ship smelled like sewage the entire 4 days, food was aweful and the staff was rude, I ask waitress for a spoon she told me they are on the line by the plates and pointed me in the that direction and walked off. Staff act like they hated their job. Our complimentary $25 credit and or wine for our room, instead the wine was served at dinner.spoke to a Ivanna about issues, she’s eating breakfast right now. She never responded back until the 3rd day into the cruise, per Carnival we are not to receive the $25, the Serenity deck on the opposite side Jacuzzi wasn’t working and they were doing repairs during the cruise and the pool water was dirty. we had to pay for a cruise on a boat that was half working. our group said that they will not sail with Carnival again. Never again. Let me state I'm a very fluid go-with-the-flow kind of person, late 40s. I like to have a good time and my sense of entitlement begins and ends with what I pay for; no more, no less. That being said: 1. Room was dirty on arrival and took 2 days to get it "cleaned." I took photos & video of the dust & dirt. 2. Much of the staff was rude and unwilling to perform the simplest of tasks. For example, we requested a reservation for 15, but rather than put tables together to accommodate, they sat us at 2 separate tables. On the other hand, you should guard your plate with your life because if you even halfway look like you're finished eating, wait staff will pounce to take your plate away. Also, it is extremely rude to reach over people who are eating without a word to place utensils in the the table caddy. 3. Seemingly no coordination between staff. Depending on who you ask, you'd get different answers to the same question, even among supervisory staff. 4. Erroneous charges on bill that no one seemed willing to fix until I threatened to remove all the gratuity charges for my stay, which by the way you cannot do onboard and can only be refunded after they automatically charge you. 5. Things that should have been no-brainers (including logistical planning) were non-existent. For example, having people line up to receive tender tickets to Stirrup Cay was stupid and pointless in that 1) it inserts an additional step into the first-come first-served process and 2) NCL has the capability to effect sign-up via its interactive TV system rather than have a line 150+ people deep in the hot sun snaking around the pool deck. Another example: rather than have people criss-cross the ship to each restaurant to find out what the menu of the day is, NCL has the capability to post it on their interactive TV channel ... but they don't. 6. Activities are listed in the daily sheets, but there's no promotion or hype to get anyone excited about them. 7. Good luck getting any decent advice on excursions. This is but a small sample of the problems onboard. There were some positives: while cabin was tiny & dirty, the decor was nice. Some bar areas are better than others, but none of the drinks we got were bad. Food quality is the same: some items are better than others, but most of it was passable. Side note: whoever is cooking the potatoes needs to be fired. On 3 separate occasions (3 different dishes) I bit into undercooked crunchy potatoes. The Whitney Houston tribute by Jade & Sam was really fantastic. Bliss was fun when DJ Ricii was there; nobody could figure out what DJ Yogi was doing music-wise and a lot of people left early. We have been on quite a few cruises and many of them with Royal Caribbean. But this ship was such a terrible experience not sure we will ever go on Royal Caribbean again. We were in the Owners suite so our room was nice however the service on board was terrible. The server our first night was rude and ignored us until one of his other tables left. The girl at guest services literally rubbed her temples like we were giving her a headache and told us to be at the restaurant at 8AM the next morning if we wanted to change our server. Just on and on. The cabin person never stopped by our room but decided that he would just leave the pull out couch all day and we could deal with it. The guest service person that finally paid attention just wanted to know what we wanted. We could have a procedure from the spa but just one of us, or a surf and turf. Like somehow the aggravation we had dealt with would be resolved with a piece of lobster. Terrible experience. Don't go on this ship! Read Less

Close port, was with friends and family. To start with the air conditioning in the cabin was terrible. The cabin rugs were dirty and stained, no problem finding this out, my wife had a pair of white socks on one day. The food was pitiful, I have had better food at places like Golden Corral, most of it was very greasy. The restrooms, especially around the pool deck and the casino always had either urine or vomit on the floors. The deck we stayed on, the Main deck, smelled like sewage most of the trip. Yes , I did write Carnival, but the reply was as expected, very lame and standard in appearance.. They were sorry and would try to do better the next time. With the amount of people that was in our group,21,we went on the cruise to make some pleasant memories. Needless to say Carnival Cruises will not be on our list the next time. I just hope this review will help someone in the future when they think about taking a Carnival Cruise. Read Less

Our experience consisted of the following: •No vacuum had taken place in room upon arrival •Dirty Sheets •Stained Comforter with hair •Dirty floor •Dirty dishes in dining areas •Dirty dining area •No ice in machines (upon arrival) •No juice options (out of lemonade) multiple times •No AC in the dining area (Johnny Rockets area) •Concierge (Krateesh) stated "we'd have to go on another ship", this is normal, because it's •Royal Caribbean's oldest ship. Mentioned there were 24 or 34 and this is the "oldest of the fleet" •extremely late dining originally (8:30pm --missed a show and left after 10pm) •pressing service - hassle (just to have it picked up) and unacceptable outcome - Pants had double crease (unprofessional) --> this was for our formal Captain's Night •water draining up the shower sewer instead of down (disgusting) - this affected our schedule with dining and with shows -instead wasted time going to "report" it at the front guest relations desk •sewer smell in the stateroom from the beginning of our arrival to the very end (yet Deck Manager - Kori did not seem to agree with the smell or the problem at hand) •unable to shower (with water draining up the sewer) - again affected schedule •had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to come clean room. - we still had to go to the guest relations desk and complain after having called Housekeeping 2 times •after bathroom sewer was no longer flooding, they did not clean the floor (it was still flooded with water that had came up and out of drain (again disgusting and unacceptable). •had to go speak to someone on guest relations 5 different times for various things On a specific complaint with the smell of the bathroom & water sewage problem... Kori (Deck Manager) commented: -"He didn't smell anything when he came upstairs" -We all walked down to the actual room with Karina (one of the guest relations employee) to investigate "smell" since we were not being believed by manager and made out to seem that we were liars making stuff up -when in the room with the manager & Karina (the room smelled like bleach - this was the first time we ever smelled a disinfectant spray) -Kori specifically stated that "we can't guarantee every room will be sanitized by 1pm when we board the ship --they have a sequence that they follow but that he cannot guarantee or walk into each room to inspect" -When I became upset and expressed how disgusting the room was when we arrived and how the smell had been the entire trip, Kori stated it was clean, otherwise "you should have been ill by now if the room had not been sanitized, touching the knob, flushing the toilet" -Then Kori wanted to deny that comment and wanted to retract his statement above. Karina witnessed this entire conversation and immediately expressed her apologies on behalf of guest relations. I commented that someone had even told us that we were on an old ship (Karina said it also) but that was no excuse, no matter how old something is, it should be clean. There is definitely a difference between clean and old. We were then told that they would take care of things by Karina but to check back in later after the show (since we did not want to miss yet another show during our vacation). After 11pm - Checked in with Karina to ask to speak to manager and get charges list •manager was off for the night, told us to speak with him in the morning after 6:30am --Joel •Was charged $19 for mini bar --which was not touched (Karina removed from charges) @11:18pm Went back to room, smell was starting to return Read Less

Do Not Book this Horrid Ship This is the reasons 1. We where in cabin 8064 hall smelled like raw sewage the entire cruise. 2. Poor Maintenance Rust around the Pool Rust on Bath Vanity screws falling off door handles 3. Food quality went way down from where it had been. 4. We felt it was all about the drunks and the booze passes they bought. 5. The TV was mounted over the head of the bed so you could not watch from the bed. 6. Got stuck in the elevator. Done If this where my first cruise I would never go again. I felt like a hostage in a sewer plant. We noticed all the cut backs No paper or pens in the room They up sell Lobster it was included before Hamburger and scrambled eggs have filler in them grade F meat across the board was sub par. I think it is sad when you could not wait to get off the ship. Read Less

First day on the cruise (my first ever cruise), and what do me and my fiance walk into? Our door cracked open (even though it was "ready"), stool on or toilet, a broken toilet, dirty covers on our bed, a dirty white stained chair in our room, and a filthy shower (with hair in it). After spending an hour at Guest Services with Aldina, she stated that she would notate the complaint and get things fixed. The next time we go to our room, the chair is removed and the toilet is getting cleaned...then in the same sitting, the gentleman cleaning the toilet said it needs to be replaced because it also didn't work. So he took another 30mins-1hour fixing the toilet. After our first stop in Freeport (different day), we reentered the boat...going to our room to shower after a hot day of fun off of the boat...we get to our room to see three people in ...doing what else? FIXING THINGS THAT SHOULD'VE ALREADY BEEN FIXED! The head lady in charge tells us that they are fixing our shower. However, they aren't just fixing the shower, they are re-plastering the tiles on the shower! We head back up to Guest Services, and spoke to Adina again... just to be told that it would be fixed. Before the trip we asked that all cleaning be done at night (the time we'd least likely need our room), but instead it wasn't followed. We needed to shower and change, and couldn't. After another hour with Aldina, we then were told the shower would need to sit for two hours before we could use it. So all together 3 hours of inconvenience, and this is an entirely different day on nonsense. Instead of simply giving us another room, we had to wait. Room service is included in your trip, but the two times we used it were not satisfactory at all. The first the chips they gave me as a side was completely soggy, and the second took forever to deliver... and when they called us to say they were bringing it (because we had fell asleep because it took so long) they delivered it cold... versus simply remaking a hot plate of food. When the last day finally arrives, we get a call from Nadia in Guest Services who ask about our service since we had made two complaints on two different days... (and another not included in those two about or covers being dirty). We went up to speak to her, and after telling her the entire story above she had the audacity to offer us a bottle of wine! I was enraged, but instead of making a huge scene with the long line of guests behind me I simply denied her request for a free bottle of wine. I work in customer service, and I understand you don't want to give the entire cow away, but that was insulting. All of that and you offer a bottle of wine? With much patience, and her saying that's all she can do 1,000 times, she finally got permission to give me 20% off of one day... which came to a grand total of $50. Which I informed her was ridiculous seeing as how I had spend over 1600 (between my fiance and I) on this cruise; and was inconvenienced more than once ..and on multiple days. She again said it was all she could do. *To top it off she insisted on giving us a free bottle of wine at the final dinner on the cruise, however when the dinner comes and we request the bottle of wine... guess what? No wine. No email was sent, and we were refused the bottle at dinner... which to say the least was an unnecessary embarrassment. Once it was all over, and we had docked, customer service was my first call. Once hearing the story they offered me 15% off of a future cruise.. which you could imagine I was use to by now.. complete nonsense. They then said I had to wait 72 hours... I gave them 4 days and then called back myself, just to speak to a RUDE representative who argued with me about how many days I hadn't gave them to review the claim (even though I gave them an extra day). Once I spoke to Evette, she informed me all she could do was $50 additional. Because everything was fixed the same days of the complaints, and because we had already received an initial $50 credit. After breaking down some math, and her going back and forth with me over what a full 1 day credit would be.. she ended up refunding 1 day... which totaled $172. Which STILL MAKES NO SENSE. ...esp after everyone was saying 22:17 on the call that they couldn't do more than $50. In total, between my fiance and I.. after ALL of that hassle... we received one day credit... $222. I am disgusted with the lack of sympathy for our inconveniences. We were basically treated as though our complaints didn't matter. We praised two people on board even still.. Michael at dinner, and Harry at our state room... but as far as EVERYTHING else... we are completely shocked; from the ship to the corporate level. We are indeed just two customers in the thousands of customers that Carnival sees each year, but we are still CUSTOMERS! What does it say for your brand to even ignore one. Read Less

I chose to do a cruise on Disney to give my 9 grandson something memorable as this was his first vacation. He was very excited and really did enjoy the cruise. The dining was exceptional. The only problem was BED BUGS!!!! This WAS a memorable vacation because he had a miserable time with the bites for the rest of our vacation. Not the kind of vacation we planned on having. We ended up in our room because he welted up pretty bad and the itching of the bites were horrible. I believe he had over 100 bites all over his body. We also had bites but not as bad as our poor 9 year old. Disney has not contacted me. I do not think they plan on doing anything about there bed bug problem!!!! My complaint is being ignored. They had a pirate night that he wanted to get involved in. I bought a costume on the ship for $100. He was very excited to be a pirate but they should have involved the kids more! Nobody was there to even take pictures to add to our memory book. After the show was over and movie it was like if he dressed up for nothing. Don't waste your money! Read Less

I have taken many cruises, but this one was the worst. I will start off with a few positives. The check in process was easy, and the entertainment show was very good. Now for the negative experience. The ship is very old, and the workers on the ship are not friendly or helpful at all. We purchased a room for 4 people, it was really a two person room with a bunk up against the wall and a roller bed with no room to put it, so we ended up sleeping 3 people in one bed. The room was not clean, there was gum embedded in the carpet. This is nothing but a booze cruise with very sketchy people. I did not feel comfortable letting my kids walk around the boat by themselves. The food was okay, I didn't expect much since this was a low budget cruise. The only thing I enjoyed about this cruise was when I got off the ship in the Bahamas, which is an absolute gorgeous place. My advice, do not waste your money on this cruise. Read Less

The cruise ship was horrible, they staff was rude and discourteous, and unprofessional to say the least. My entire birthday trip was ruined due to the rudeness and discrimination that was evident on the ship. My husband tried to surprise me with a cake at dinner and cake order was wrong and was delivered to a different restaurant. Often time room was left a mess and had to call customer service to have them come out to re- clean the room. The day of embark was horrible we were rushed and an employee came banging on our door demanding us to leave, without offering any help. Yelling and cursing at me directly while visibly pregnant and in front of my young children. The worse cruise line ever, and I have been on several and nothing compares to this one. This cruise ship needs to be closed down permanently or serious training needs to take place. Read Less
