Great staff--everything else rather poor

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Liberty

We have over 20 cruises/voyages. We are platimum level with Cunard. We are older and wanted a quick few days away with port only 2 hours from home. Husband has mobility problems and the boarding process was excellent.Great staff. Age of ship not a problem except one individual electric outlet. Cabin nice with good bedding. TV stations very limited. Dining was very poor with the exception ...

Chose cruise due to price. Got a balcony and $200 credit for less than a comparable RCCL trip. Compared to RCCL due to that is my only other cruise line. Embarkation was a nightmare. Dont bother doing anything before you board, everything have to get redone at port check-in. Pictures never saved, card did not link on MSC website, so on. Speakers in port did not work in some areas so you miss ...

Awful for first timer

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

I booked Escape purely on the sail dates and port of calls. Getting on and off ship was overwhelming. Long waits 2 hours plus. No consideration for disabled. Changed entire itinerary the day of cruise. Had to refund one of my excursions because of time conflict with new schedule. Going to guest services was always nightmare. Long lines, having people behind you receive help, when your ...

First and Last MSC Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Seaside

This is our 10th cruise and also our first and last cruise with MSC. The cruise-fare seemed too good to be true, but now we know why. Here is a quick run-down of our experiences with as little malice as possible. If we hadn’t had other cruises to compare, we might have thought this was the norm for cruising experiences. The public areas of the ship were beautiful, but it falls off after that. ...

Sailed MSC on different ship years ago and loved it. This trip was not at all up to par. Upgraded to Auria. They charged double. $700 Then no Auria services. No wash cloths, no robes, no pool towels, locked mini bar. Now mind you we had already purchased a drink package as well with wifi. Which you think is free per Advertisement but is really 400+ More dollars on room charge for two. ...

The good: The ship was clean, we saw people constantly cleaning. Public bathrooms surprisingly well kept. The room was a nice size and my balcony was a good view. (Room 120**) The bad: MSC cancelled waverunner shore excursion due to "rough seas" on calm ocean day....no refund...giving MSC a chance to correct it as I called and was told 48-72 hours to wait to confirm if the shore excursion ...

Only my 4th. trip with NCL and first (and last) on the Escape. It was rare to find soap in the restrooms in the common areas and at the entrance to the buffet and usually no towels. Food was a dissappointment...Prime Rib could not be cut with a knife, cold scrambled eggs, cold sausage and barely warm sausage gravy....big problem with keeping food at proper temperatures. Coffee in the morning was ...

MSC - Major Service Catastrophe

Since I have not received a survey regarding my most recent trip on your cruise line, I decided I should let you know what is going on in the real world. Although you match rewards with other cruise lines, your reciprocity does not amount to anything. I tried to utilize my perk for a free picture and was told it could only be a picture taken in the main dining room. The main dining room never had ...

Long lines and unprepared

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on MSC Seaside

The price, number of cays and destination were reasons for choosing. The lines for food and beverages were long. Often the buffets were closed or out of options. They ran out of ice and even water at the bar on their private island. I bought a cabana that evidently I shouldn’t have even though their app let me. So, they had to find another one, which was quite the hassle. Their lagoon closed ...
