Just got back from a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Epic out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Here are my thoughts on the vacation.
-UBP. Got the Ultimate Beverage Package for the week. Was totally worth it. Great selection of spirits, beer, and wine. The standard wine was excellent and was my drink of choice during the day. Totally saved us money. It was also nice not worrying ...
We chose Norwegian lines basically because my husband isn't a dress up kinda guy and Norwegian doesn't have the formal dinners! They have several dinning options. We enjoyed the buffet, they have a different dinner theme every day so you have new choices daily. The young girl that was the greeter at the buffet every morning and evening was so sweet and was the perfect person for the job. We also ...
Full disclosure: I won this cruise, so my only choice was itinerary, and after reading many negative reviews, I was quite worried. My worries were unfounded and we had an amazing time...as Americans, the Italian flavor added to the experience...rather than detracted, in our opinion. The last night, the dining room was rocking as waiters danced with passengers, the Italians started a conga line ...
My sister and I chose this cruise because it was a themed girlfriend getaway cruise with O Magazine and Oprah, so we knew it was going to be amazing! I have consistently found with HAL that something extraordinary happens when I cruise this line! This cruise was no different.
First of all embarkation, we arrived at 1030 AM and were onboard by 11:45. Our cabin was not ready, but I was able ...
The Elation has been kept up beautifully and she doesn't show her age. New carpeting, paint, and loving care has done wonders to keep her in her original 'glory days' condition. I booked last minute and was able to snag the last available cabin, which happened to be an ocean view on the Riviera Deck, aft, port side, just above the water level; it was fresh, roomy, plenty of storage, and even a ...
For starters, all of the negative complaints on here are more than likely from people who have nothing else better to do with their time but complain. The ship is out in the ocean 365 days a year, it will have rust. There will be wear and tear on the furniture in the rooms. Stop being so nit-picky and just enjoy yourselves!
Our only complaint from this cruise was the fact that the "adults only" ...
We chose this cruise because it was two weeks and a decent itinerary, but mainly because it was a great deal! We loved the Medallions! When we walked up to our door, it would unlock, no need to try to find your room key. The updated TV programming was great! Lots of movies & TV shows you could pause & finish watching whenever. The internet was much, much better! Food & service was also ...
There were countless activities and entertainment options - and all of the highest quality. Definitely arrive 30 minutes early for the evening shows in order to get a seat. The performances are exceptional.
I have celiac disease (gluten allergy) and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had many delicious options. Each evening at dinner Valentin showed me the menu for the next evening ...
badgered by relatives and friends to go.....would not have done it otherwise...no regrets.
This was my first Ocean Cruise.....have done two other river cruises. By far a much bigger ship with much more available. Getting on and off the ship was a hassle but not unexpected for the number of people. The people on the ship were all polite and helpful. Our facilities were all clean however I ...
We have wanted to cruise on one of the Oasis class ships far some time and thankfully final did. What a great ship. Yes there are 6000 guests on board however with only one exception, we didn't experience any long lines. The exception of course was the windjammer buffet. They hold you up at the entrance so they can locate a seat for you which is a good idea. Other wise there would be tons of ...
