Hi there. It’s January, and I’m back home in Michigan. We are all snowed in today so I’m finally going back to submit my review for my holiday cruise. Most of which I typed while I was on the ship, and some I filled in just now. (So please excuse my mixed tenses!) Here it is:
ROOMS:
It’s 4:24 a.m. and I'm on the ship, on Christmas Eve morning, actually. I’ve been thinking about it ...
This cruise started off rocky as I had called MSC 3 weeks before departure to ask a question about the drink packages, to which the woman I was speaking with told me that each of our cabins had a $600 onboard credit and legit told me not to buy a drink package. When we got onboard we were told this was not accurate and we actually had a $100 credit, so we had to buy the drink package onboard for ...
I waffled a bit between a 'poor' and an 'average' review, but ultimately chose 'poor' because there were just too many things that we found annoying for our family of four.
First, the pluses.
The cabins are roomy and in pretty good shape. Food in the buffet was reasonably good (with the exception of scrambled eggs at breakfast, which could always be counted on to be cold). Main dining room ...
We chose this cruise because it worked with everyone’s schedule and budget. It was overpriced for what they gave us in terms for food service, customer service, the choice and timing of the islands we visited and, just about anything else that we would expect and have received on a cruise.
Things got weird right away. There were no tissues in the cabin. The room steward said tissues are not ...
Just got back from the 8-day Norwegian Bliss (Bahamas & Florida from New York) Christmas cruise
If you’re the type of person who likes to stay on board during port stops, then this maybe the cruise for you (my wife enjoys spending time on the ship, whereas for my kids and myself we use it as a floating transportation hotel mechanism to the islands)
Pros:
• Friendly staff
• Immaculate ...
This was supposed to be my husband and I's honeymoon. Restaurants/ Service was great. Cabin was clean and decent.
Activities on boat were incredibly lame. If you're not completely into Drinking, Trivia and food, you're kind of out of luck.
Shows were great, Prohibition and Jersey Boys were great. Book it as early as possible
Spa services were incredibly overpriced, that's saying ...
We took the Norwegian Bliss from New York to the Bahamas, from December 20th to the 28th. The cruise was very disappointing. The ship stayed in port Canaveral overnight, which was nice even-though it rained on both days. The next port was Nassau Bahamas, we stayed on the ship till 1 pm, then took a taxi to Cabbage beach. (The crew members were conducting drills on the ship that day so it wasn't a ...
This cruise was going for a great deal. I know why. I’ve sailed on carnival many times and this ship just didn’t have what others do.
Pros: The ship was very clean and renovations were obvious. The Flying Scotsman was great!
Cons: The food was poor quality, even in the main dining room. The ship lacks entertainment in the evening. The shows they had were just so-so. I’ve seen much ...
used Princess Crown for British Isles cruise in August 2019 and found it very enjoyable. In our December 2019 cruise to the Virgin Islands aboard same ship we found maintenance issues on several days in two different assigned rooms. Leaking ceilings on two occasions, our clothing was soiled from leaking directly into our closet; repairs by on board plumbers failed twice. TV needed repair, ...
Crown Princess is a beautiful ship, but not beautifully designed, it is all very bland in colors and finishes. One area looks like every other area. Nothing unique or memorable.
Cold, cold, cold ship.... cold in your state room, cold in the restaurant, cold in the common areas of the ship. Even with the 2 room thermostat’s set on high heat, the room remained extremely cold. It is a miserable ...
