We are repeat Equinox travelers, after doing the Western itinerary in 2018. With great service, accommodations, and food, it's hard to beat the Equinox. This trip was booked as a holiday getaway for Thanksgiving. We even were able to watch the Cowboys game from the Lawn Club!
We selected a concierge class cabin, and would not do it again. Unless you really want the extra cruise points, I would ...
We are doing a Thanksgiving cruise to the Eastern Caribbean on the Nieuw Amsterdam.
We booked through a big box store, and even though HAL reduced its rate many times before sailing date, but after final payment, it was difficult to get any compensation. Thus, we paid much more for an inferior cabin which others got for a song.
The ship itself is certainly not up to HAL standards. Our ...
They are not smoker friendly and not friendly in general except the girls who squirt your hands at food court. Bartender is very rude and obnoxious, servers were friendly especially Bobby and Sonny liked them a lot. Will not be going with Norwegian again I can assure you of that. Beautiful ship, really nice state rooms and that is about it.Restaurants were great, service in there was pretty good. ...
Always rated high in many areas. Food in the dining room and buffet, very bland and very disappointing. Ship very clean, above avg. staff, the solarium was great. The food is what really brings down the rating. Nice inside, cabin bathroom didn't have a lot of space. Samana not ready for cruisers, yet, not worth going on a beach tour, very poorly planned by Celebrity.
Will try Celebrity again, ...
Great pricing with 4 extras included in the price, beverage package (but no special coffees), 250 wifi minutes, shore excursion credit at each port and 3 specialty dining options. The specialty restaurants were the best we have been too. Congrats on that! The golf, basketball and other activities were not well planned and never on time, very disappointing for our grandsons. Staterooms needed more ...
A few families booked the trip together. We spent 7 nights onboard and we had good time.
Pros:
New ship, cabin has more space than other cruise ships.
Excellent onboard WiFi message system, we didn't need Walkie Talkie.
Great evening shows.
Great service, all attendants are excellent.
Great itinerary
Cons:
Upsell too much, complimentary amenities are less than ...
Hi everyone. We (2) have cruised Anthem 5x now, and this week we were joined by family and friends for a total of 8 of us—5 adults, two 10 year olds and one 13 year old.
We arrived at the port around 10:45am. Short line to drop our luggage and then parked in the deck. Take your ticket with you and pay as soon as the ship gets back; you need the paid receipt to exit the parking deck. ...
We cruised over Thanksgiving and while the boat was completely full, we never felt crowded. At times the Windjammer was packed, but there were plenty of stations and you could find a table if you just were patient. All elevators were in service and little to no wait times there.... We ate at Jamies which was a bit of a let down. I think Giovannis has it beat as far as flavor and options. We also ...
I feel I should preface this review by stating that while this is a truly negative review for an extremely stressful experience. However most of the issues I had were leading up to the cruise itself from land-based personnel and/or policies set by the corporate entity. The crew on board for the most part were fantastic (with a few noted exceptions listed below) and the food was some of the best I ...
We are frequent cruisers; typically, with several generations of family members. This time, though, we wanted a cruise for just the two of us. What better time than Thanksgiving week (no juggling grocery lists, no cooking, no cleaning up...)?
This was our first foray aboard the Breakaway and the first time via the new Port Canaveral cruise terminal.
Opting for low stress, we used AA ...
