I want to open this negative review with a disclaimer that I am of a minority that this cruise line caters to. We went on this cruise with 2 adults and 3 children (4, 8, 10). This is not the "target audience," so our experience will inevitably vary wildly from, say, a 50+ couple or a solo traveler. We are loyal RC Platinum members. The Allure is a beautiful ship but the service and food is not up to RC standards as we have experienced on previous cruises. The crew appeared to just be going thru the motions without any enthusiasm. If you got in their way they would give you a dirty look and expect you to move rather than them moving for you. The Good -
Had an excellent roomy balcony cabin with largest shower and balcony have had in several sailings. Room steward also provided above average service, accommodating our schedule.
Food was much improved over recent Royal cruises. Diversity and quality in both dining room and windjammer much improved.
Embarkation and debarkation best have had in recent years.

We choose this cruise to try a different cruise line and so glad we did. First off getting on the ship and off was such a breeze. Never did we feel congested or feel that 6500 passengers are onboard. It's our 6th time with MSC, had high expectations. The ship is beautiful, services were great, I do have some minor disappointments.
1. Cabin - 8232, end balcony cabin, double bed and bunk beds (kids were very happy because in the past it was sofa bed). Cabin size was smaller than what we had in Seaside and Divina, storage spaces were smaller too.
