We take NCL cruises out of NY for the convenience of not flying to the port. Escape felt bigger and even more crowded than Breakaway of the previous year. The ship looked very clean, and the crew, I think, did their very best. Embarkation and disembarkation- surprisingly organized and relatively quick.
We had midship mini-suit - it's a little bigger than regular balcony, and the shower with ...
We try to cruise at least twice a year. We heard about this new cruise ship coming into New York, so we decided to try it out. We got upgraded from an ocean view to a balcony. Overall it was a great 14-day cruise. We noticed many rude passengers, not only demanding to the crew but to one another as well, very disappointing. The storage space is smaller than we've seen for similar cabins, and not ...
Having just been on a 15 day Royal Transatlantic, we expected the same level of cruising on her sister ship, the Royal. While the "facility" was almost identical, a number of things were lacking.
The quality and variety of foods in the Main Dining Rooms seemed below what was presented on the Royal. Even the Horizon Buffet was not quite up to par. When the buffet fails to please and you end up ...
Obviously weather was cold in Nov-Dec. But once you get to the Caribbean it was beautiful.
Because of weather we couldn't stop at Stirrups Cay so I have no review of that.
The Ports were all nice and we had good weather for a change, so it was nice.
The ship was big, but because the way it was laid out it didn't seem too big. the most congested places were the buffet and the atrium, ...
Pre-Cruise Preparation-
We put in for vacation time several months before the cruise and were targeting one of 2 cruises (GEM/Escape) that both left NY within a day of each other. I did numerous research and followed the prices. I like to book at least a month out so I have time to research the ports and plan excursions. We like the smaller ships but also wanted to experience a bigger one ...
I chose Liberty for the decor and it didnt disappoint. It's of garden type theme with Spanish style of iron railing and lights. Not over the top and gaudy like some carnival ships but also has a wow factor. We did 4 night Bahamas cruise to princess cay and Freeport.
The pros
The decor
The food was great
The shows were okay
The staff were not in my face when asking to do photos or ...
1st cruise with Princess and we had a hard time picking priorities! You can pick from numerous things to do to nothing but listening or reading books! Embarkation was fast and easy with about 45 min until on the ship. Our room was immaculate and we requested top sheets which were provided in timely manner. Room arranged so no one was disturbed at night with lights from the bathroom. Plenty of ...
December 2018
Hello,
Here are my comments on my cruise:
1. The food was excellent at the Garden Cafe. The best specialty restaurant was the Cagneys. The Manhattan room was a very pleasant experience. However, we went to the Taste restaurant on December 3 for dinner and we were very disappointed because the service was very slow.
2. Houskeeping was impeccable.
3.Every day we went to ...
This was a birthday cruise for me, so I chose a forward facing Mini Suite. The cabin steward was fantastic especially since I had my slightly slobbish 5 year old with me. She loved the camp program as did I. The hours were good, although the walk from the front to the back 2-3 times a day sure worked off the calories I consumed. I'm Elite with Princess' Captain Circle, and the cruise line ...
This was the second time that we travelled on the Allure o/t Seas.
1. The most impressive improvements were embarkation and debarkation. Not doubt RC has done a great job with Terminal A at Miami cruise port and the new procedure. Getting on board worked like a breeze. Also impressive reentry to the US just with facial recognition!
2. The second improvement to mention is the new RC ...
