For starters it blows my mind that people are actually complaining about the amount of kids on the ship. You're looking at a cruise ship that headline a go kart track, waterslides, laser tag, and virtual reality. You should know just by the look of this ship it's going to have plenty of families on it. I've seen a lot of complaints about the upcharges on the ship also for having to pay extra for a ...
NCL Encore is the newest ship currently. NCL has really improved in traffic flow, decreasing congestion, a wide range of activities for all ages. Nightly bars, shows, comedy clubs, entertaining music all occurring at the same time in so many different areas.
We stayed on deck 15, close to the observation lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed the food presented at different stations, views, bar etc. ...
HAL WITH KIDS FOR DUMMIES - Our cruise aboard the Niew Statendam
We are a family of 4, including 2 young children, and we just returned from a cruise aboard the Niew Statendam. It is because Holland America may not be the first cruise line that families with young children would consider for a cruise vacation the main reason why I wish to share our experience. When I was researching this ...
Embarkation was smooth, uncrowded and uneventful. Escorted to 4 & 5 Star Mariner Lounge and boarded promptly at 11:30am. Carried all of our luggage as carry-ons and we were unpacked by 1205pm. For lunch we went to the MDR and were seated at a table for 2. Everyone (ships staff) along the way greeted us with "welcome on board" , "hope you have a nice cruise" with sincere smiles of welcome. Thus is ...
We had a great cruise despite a couple of small hiccups. This ship was beautiful, clean, the staff was all great and friendly all seemed very happy and eager to help. The ship had plenty of activities, all fun, the shows were great, the comedian was hilarious. The food was all great, plenty of selection. The main dining room was great our waiter was fantastic everyone was excellent in service. Our ...
Chose this cruise as with children we love the variety of things to do and the excursions in the Caribbean are far more child-friendly than European ones making it worth the extra flight time.
From start to finish STAR class gave us the Wow factor. From arrival at the cruise terminal being ushered through our own dedicated security line, meeting our genie and being on the Ship, in our suite ...
I was anxious to come home and write this review after reading so many negative reviews since encore set sail in November. I can 100% say I don’t know why so many have complaints from this ship. This is my 4th Norwegian Cruise and it did not disappoint. The biggest complaint I read was the pool and lack of chairs. Is the pool a little smaller, yes. Was it full even once, no. Chairs on a 4000 ...
We chose the bliss out of New York City as a vacation from winter in New England. Excellent activities staff. Daily Zumba type class each morning with different staff members. Nights of dancing at sugar cane mojitos bar to excellent band duo nice crowd of Latin dancing and lessons from the fellow passengers a party atmosphere. Ginger mojitos great. Excellent comedy with 4 different comics. ...
We stayed in a hotel in Plantation the night before our cruise. Hotel accommodations were difficult to get because of the annual boat show being held at the same time. We took an Uber from the hotel to the ship. The cost was about $18 and the ride took about twenty minutes. The car was at our hotel within 10 minutes of our request. The embarkation process was pretty easy and all told, we were in ...
We sailed on the Equinox with a group of 18 ranging from our 16 year old son to a few in their 60's. Overall this was an excellent cruise with only a couple of things I feel could have been improved. I'll start with the positives as they far outweighed any negatives on this ship.
Embarkation - After a dozen or so cruises this was the easiest I've ever experienced. We had booked the 1:00pm ...
