We booked this cruise with 2 other couples to celebrate 2 Birthdays and for the itinerary which included 4 port days. This is our 7th cruise on Holland America. We had praised up our previous cruises and the quality of service, cuisine and attention to detail with our friends. It soon became apparent, that this cruise was not going to compare in any way with our previous experiences.

We have sailed on Carnival twice and Norwegian twice and this will be our last time on Norwegian. Family of four with a 3 year old and 15 year old.
PROS

-Buffet always had a good selection of ...
Well, we didn't crash or lose engines... but we could not WAIT to get off this crappy ship!
Food: MDR food was awful & the selection was like ordering food at Cracker Barrel, but with worse service. (Epic is understaffed, and it shows... everywhere) Fried chicken, cornbread, short ribs, pot pie, bbq pork, rotisserie chicken, steak with fries??? Where is the seafood?? Pathetic! We gave the MDR ...
We were so excited to go on the ship, we have cruised with RC many time and 1 time with Carnival,,, RC is our fav by fair!!! I had reservations about this cruise from the beginning when we booked it I wanted 5 cabins and upon paying for them my credit card locked us out after the first 2 the sales lady said no worries we will hold and pay for the rest in the morning upon morning we lost 2 cabins ...
We choose this cruise because it coincided with my stepdaughter's Spring Break and she really wanted to go to the Bahamas. We had been to Bermuda aboard the Norwegian Breakaway two years prior and really loved it - Splash Academy (the kids program), the dining, the ship amenities, the staff...great. This is the review I tried to send Norwegian for this cruise's experience:
If this was my only ...
Ship was dated and not attractive. Very crowded because it was spring break so lesson for me don't cruise the Caribbean during the March/April time frame. Cabin was verandah on the 8th deck and noise came from decks above and below us. Complained to HAL since I asked if this would be noisy and was assured no prior to booking - gave me a $150 credit when I complained. Cabin was not cleaned ...
We are a family of four and this was our first cruise. We did not have high expectations as we knew coming on that this was an old shop....we chose it because of it being within driving distance from our home. The ship itself isn’t terrible (aside from the tiniest pool I’ve ever seen). Most of the crew really do try hard to make it a pleasant experience.
The food is absolutely horrendous. ...
We choose this cruise because we had taken the Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl and had a wonderful time. The cruise was not worth the money we had to pay. First there were problems with the ship which delayed us 6 hours. There were college students everywhere. We had to stand in long lines to get a drink. Loud partying all night in the halls and on the balconies. Forget getting a specialty ...
I don't even know where to start! The rooms are horrible! A suite should not be called a suite! A family of 4 cannot fit in the room! A curtain separating the bathroom, who's idea was that no privacy! With the drinking package, you still get charged for the mini bar! Bottle Water is not included! The rooms were tiny. The bartenders were rude! They all had attitudes. Some ignored you at the bar. At ...
Family spring break cruise...cabin ok,3 drawers for clothes; .bathroom small, but adequate.
Cabin steward left mid cruise,so got a new steward ;so accepting service.
The ring a round was terrible, the people didn’t know what they should have.TERRIBLE. Lines for everything at ship guest services. Corporate needs to train phone agents much better. They really don’t know about boat ...
