Family cruise celebrating mine and wife's 70th birthdays. Cruised with two adult children and four grandsons. Best part of cruise were the specialty restaurants. All were excellent. Worst part was Epic was overcrowded. Ship rated for 3900 passengers but there were 4700 on board. Garden buffet so crowded often difficult to find place to sit. Food was good though. Also the Epic ship itself was ...
We booked this as a family spring break trip. Upon getting to the port, the lines were long and the process was slow.
Once on the ship, the overall service was extremely slow (for everything). It was difficult to see any shows due to the long lines. The food was mediocre at best.
There were some good things, like the band 4 Blue, but that is about as far as it goes.
The premium ...
We went on an Eastern Carribean cruise on the Norvegian Epic. Had planned for 3 years to take a cruise. We left Port Canaveral on March 16th and returned on March 23rd a 7 day cruise. We were upgraded from a balcony to a large balcony. Needless to say, we ended up with a partially enclosed balcony, with a round hole for a window. The other couples we were with had a glass balcony, they had ...
We choose this cruise because the schedule worked for my daughters spring break from school and we have sailed Norwegian before and had a good experience on past cruises.
This one, however, was pretty terrible, first off, it was a 'full ship' and that is all well and good if they were prepared for a full ship. The check-in proton was pretty smooth but you could tell the agents checking you in ...
Starting from beginning we chose the cruse due to its unique itinerary visiting the virgin islands and private island in bahamas. In addition, the dates fit our schedule perfectly.
Embarkation was seamless and went well. Room was immediately ready and luggage delivery promptly. Room was clean.
There was a delay due to maintenance issues and we didn't sail out until dark which was a bummer as ...
We choose this cruise ship, because I had heard good things about MSC and this cruise fitted our dates and where we wanted to go.
A Group of 6 of us from America and the UK all booked to go together as we live on opposite sides of the world
The ship is BIG, and there are ALOT of people on board.
Although the ship is nice fitted out and still quite new, I don't feel that the public areas ...
A beautiful ship but the food was poor quality compared to Celebrity and Princess. As an avid cruiser for more than twenty years, this was my worst cruise choice yet.
A white fish dish over a bed of white rice should not be covered in brown gravy.
Mushroom caps should not be rock hard and ready for a sling shot.
Gnocchi are meant to be soft and delicate, not torched to hard ...
This cruise was not worth the money! Most of the staff were not polite and definitely did not go out of their way to make it a great experience! It would take a very long time to get a drink. I got specialty dining and only got to eat at 2 restaurants in 7 days because I didnt reserve before getting on the ship! All the excursions were also booked and we didnt even get to stop on the last island, ...
We wanted this cruise because the balcony rooms and being able to go to St. Thomas.
We did have a balcony room, and I can say I enjoyed the room, even if the layout is strange.
That was about the only thing I can say I consistently enjoyed.
The food was a crap shoot: Tempanyaki was amazing and the staff was great, The Noodle Bar, also great, the steak house, Cagney's, perfect and ...
This was my 15th cruise, 3rd with NCL. We chose this particular Spring Break cruise to join family with grandchildren. The shows we saw ("Priscella Queen of the Desert" & "Burn the Floor") were the best I've seen on a cruise ship. Loved them. Wish we had known to make reservations for Cirque Du Soleil as soon as we got on board, before muster call. We couldn't get into that one.
The food ...
