No Encore for us - wheelchair challenges

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Encore

We were on the Encore for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise departing on Feb 16th in accessible room 10886.  Automatic room door was a great help.  My husband in his wheelchair could handle room access unassisted.  The roll-in shower arrangement was excellent - no water to mop up after showers.  The ramping to the balcony was easy to use because there was no drop off going out the door onto the ...

Gorgeous ship, A++ service but upcharges galore and limited common space

We chose this cruise primarily because it was a new ship and we wanted to experience the latest and greatest in cruise ship offerings. This was also our longest cruise to date (7 nights) so we spent the extra money on a balcony suite, especially since there were a couple total days at sea. As for the ship itself, it was quite beautiful and clean, as you might expect a new ship to be. However, ...

I choose this cruise because I wanted to bring my four grown sons to Jost Van Dyke an Excursion offered while in Tortola on 2/20. The excursion got sold out & the time being there was changed from 8:00 to 5:00 pm to 6:00am to 2:00pm. & was not notified. I called the cruise line To ask about being added for this excursion and was told I could put my name on a waitlist once onboard the ship. When ...

Dark ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Pride

I have been on at least 20 cruises. This is the darkest ship I have ever been on. I think part of the problem in the buffet is that the ceilings are painted a dark color. There are several places around the ship that seem really dark. I had a great cabin steward and Ronnie my waiter in the dining room was very good. Plenty of games and such during the day, although I do wish there was more ...

This was our first RCCL cruise, we've also done Princess and Carnival several times. I liked the cruise a lot, but probably will not sail with RCCL again. PROS: - The crew was extremely friendly and the service was outstanding. - The ship was very clean, including the bathrooms. There were Purrell hand santiizers everywhere. There was a hand washing station at the buffet that you had to ...

Less than pleased...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Regal Princess

Had to cancel prior booking in November 2019 and not much selection on short notice. Always sailed Princess in the past. This was the second largest in their fleet with 3500+ passengers. Too many guests for my taste. Service was poor and most staff unfriendly. Head Waiter forgot it was our 50th Anniversary and we didn't get our celebration package. Very disappointing since this was the reason ...

Beautiful ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

Travelled with family. Ship was beautiful. As embarking we were hounded by in-your-face sales/photo people. This continued throughout ship. Very annoying! Cabin very clean. Compliments to room cleaning crew. Seated dining was terrible, being rushed thru dinner for 2 other later seatings. Staff was pressed to get food served. Food mediocre. Pasta portions too small. Buffet crowded and people ...

Great ship - Poor service before and during

This is a very pretty ship but I am afraid that didn;t make up for the bad service. We were a girlie group (3 sisters and my daughter) holding a reunion to celebrate two birthdays. Two of us came from UK to meet the ship and two from USA. Our party included a Business Manager, a Lawyer, an Travel Agent and a Diamond Class Cruise Queen! So we were not naive with our expectations. The ...

Do yourself a favor, choose a different cruise line

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

This was my first and last time cruising with MSC. I travelled with my sister, and we were both super excited to try a new cruise line. We had an “Aurea” balcony room. I’m not very hard to please, and the room was ok despite having no storage space besides the closet. The first night on the ship the hot water went out, and was not fixed until the first stop at port over 24 hours later. After a ...

Less Than Wowed

I wanted to love RC. We‘ve cruised many times but this was our first on RC. My family and I were less than wowed. I realize the ship is heading to dry dock soon so perhaps they’ll make some necessary repairs but truly, it should have gone to dry dock before this sail. Due to a bad propeller our itinerary was initially altered 3 months from our cruise. We received notice but truly, 3 months ...
