The cruise was very disappointing. The entertainment was directed at the older passengers and nothing really available if under 60.
No theme night, no white wine onboard as the ship is heading to Asia so they used what was onboard.
Outbreak of respiratory condition onboard no extra precautions brought out until the last afternoon when it was too late.
Toilet blocked in cabin x 5 ...
This was a CruiseTour which included a 6 night land tour of Australia which included the Great Barrier Reef. Also included a 2 night stay at Ayers Rock which was a little long compared to what was there to see and the hotel accommodations were pretty rural. But the tour of Sydney prior to boarding the ship was excellent. The New Zealand portion of the cruise was excellent, beautiful scenery ...
It was to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and was a perfect choice. We were married in NZ so it felt right cruising back on the fabulous Majestic Princess. We weren’t disappointed, the food, service and entertainment was first class, just loved it. At night we dined in the Allegro dining room and it was the highlight of our day, the food and waiter service. We then went to the show of ...
Wanted to see New Zealand. Cruise tours were limited. No real wine tours if that is what you are interested in. Loved the Fjords. Cities were interesting . Missed a port due to fog-Port Chalmers. NZ is a beautiful if hilly country. Weather was exceptionally good except for one day of fog. Tasmania was a pleasant surprise with a visit to a animal rescue sanctuary. Able to get up close and personal ...
We chose a 3 night Sydney - Burnie - Melbourne cruise as a sampler and introduction to Cunard cruising.
Embarkation was reasonably painless. We arrived a little earlier than the allocated boarding time and was told to board anyway. We dropped off bags, queued for about 15 minutes and then found ourselves on-board. Finding our cabin was easy as we were escorted by our cabin steward who did a ...
We suggested to a friend who suggested to others and before you knew it, there was a bunch booked for this 6 Night cruise Melbourne to Tasmania and Port Arthur. Our friends plan to check out QE high reputation, dance a bit, sight see and spend sometime together.
We enjoyed the good weather, smooth sailing and with excellent views of the Tasman Peninsula from Mt Wellington. Hobart and Salamanca ...
This was a special trip celebrating a milestone 50th birthday. We are well seasoned cruisers and have been on most of the lines except Silversea and Crystal with 60+ cruises under our belt.
SUITE: We booked the lowest level suite with a guarantee to upgrade to a min cat 3, and received a cat 6 up on deck 11. The room was perfect and spacious. Tons of room, excellent layout, with perfect ...
Chose this cruise for the destinations, which were wonderful.
Ship was very clean and overall staff very friendly and attentive. Speciality Restaurants were of a very good standard. Spa was excellent. Entertainment shows were very good. Live music being played during day and evenings in Main Foyer was repetitious.
Main Dining was at times “ hit and miss”. Felt they had skimped somewhat ...
As first time Viking Ocean cruisers we enjoyed the ship very much. We have sailed Oceania multiple times. Viking ships like Oceania are not overwhelming in size with great service. Food was good although we thought Oceania was somewhat better especially the specialty restaurants. There was good variety at all meals. The grill outdoors was a good option for a quick lunch.
Crew was superb with ...
We had always wanted to see Australia and New Zealand. Originally we thought we'd do this as a mostly land tour with another company, but my wife floated the option of doing this, plus Sydney to Auckland (which we will do the end of this year). Viking could not have done a better job! This was a relatively new itinerary for the ship and crew, so this was especially impressive because they were ...
