Could not find anything negative about our experience to write about.
The food was creative, varied and delicious. (exceptional shipboard homemade ice cream). The wine tasted top-drawer; whites refreshing and reds smooth. The service was personal and prompt. The room surprised us, spacious, comfortable with lots of closet space. The staff and crew all seemed to enjoy their jobs. The Cruise ...
This is for the cruise ship and crew only!
Everything you have read in other reviews is true.

Emerald Harmony is a very attractive spacious ship. Food was excellent and the staff on board could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The excursions were plentiful and all very interesting. Our tour guides were brilliant. There was a very good mix of nationalities on this cruise and all got along very well.
We enjoyed all aspects of the holiday from the cruise along the Mekong Delta ...
I dont`t do this often, but I did today! I would like to personally thank you, the entire crew of the Sabaidee Pandaw and everyone else involved for a wonderful and harmonious Christmas holiday. A great and very relaxing trip for me on the Mekong in Laos and Thailand came to end last week.
Everything was perfect! The overall structure of the trip including the pre- and post-program in ...
This Emerald Waterways trip included fabulous hotel accommodations in the large cities, a beautiful Bhaya junk on Halong Bay, and spacious, beautiful cabins on board the Emerald Harmony. Noteworthy was the Shanti Mani hotel in Siem Reap, the perfect hotel.
The excursions included several fascinating visits to local families and craftspeople, sampan trips on smaller waterways, and interesting ...
We retired early and have been traveling almost non-stop - averaging about one trip a month. We have broken down our future plans into three buckets. The Go Go Years, the Slow Go years and the No Go years. We are still in the first bucket, and hope to be there for many years yet.
This Viking cruise was an experiment for us to see which bucket these vacations would fall into.
The ship was ...
We wanted to learn more about the history of Vietnam and Cambodia. Our guide Lee was the best! He shared his personal stories, which added so much depth. Lee was always attentive and caring to our group’s needs. Always very organized. We were so lucky Lee was our guide.
In general, the ship was beautiful and new. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Somehow the desk staff knew all our names ...
We absolutely loved the Viking Saigon Ship. We didn't want to leave. The people were extremely friendly and we enjoyed all the tours. We also enjoyed the patio bar dining in the back of the ship along with cooking classes offered by the staff. Even the land Hotels were five star. The interaction with the people that Viking supports made the trip even more special both in Vietnam and Cambodia. We ...
I chose Laos as I like to travel off the beaten track and Laos, contrary to Thailand, is still relatively unspoilt. The cruise provided not only daily visits to far-away villages, elephant and bear sanctuaries and breathtaking waterfalls that allowed me to understand the country, but also very comfortable surroundings while cruising along this mythical river. The ship was very beautiful with ...
The Sabaidee anchors just upstream from Vientiane due to river conditions and you’re shuttled to the ship via a long boat. The long boat ride feels like an episode of Survivor where you are trying to size up your fellow travellers that you will spend the next 10 days with.
Our upstream sailing had 18 passengers and 18 crew. I would estimate the average age to mid seventies with a split of 2/3 ...
