Not for me

Review for a Asia Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

Chose this cruise as it was part of a "cheap as chips" package from Cruise First. Probably won't book another holiday with them as was not that impressed with the service and having to fend for ourselves with all of the transfers. This was my first experience of Royal Caribbean having previously only sailed on celebrity and p&o. My first impressions were not good. Minimal communication, ...

Westerdam Not What Expected

Review for a Asia Cruise on Westerdam

I booked this cruise mainly due to the itinerary it offered to East Asia, the brand of Holland America was the second reason. The Westerdam is a nice, clean and comfortable cruise ship and offered all the amenities that cruise lines offer. I enjoyed the itinerary and all the ports visited. However, my experience of the Westerdam was a little disappointing and although the staff were polite ...

We chose this cruise to visit Vietnam and Hong Kong and finish with a stint in Singapore. this segment was 22 days. - we were medically disembarked on day 18. Please read on to the Cunard Cough Embarkation was so smooth and took just minutes. The Cabin 8114 was clean, comfortable and the steward wonderful. Dining in the Lido Buffet offered a wide variety of choices of excellent food. ...

This beautiful ship deserves better

× I awarded my cruise of 2017 5 stars no problem × I struggled to award 3 stars on this cruise, just 2 years later. WHY Pre embarkation × met at Brisbane airport by a Princess Cruises representative! × taken, without P C rep, to a local hotel who had no knowledge of us and were not expecting us × later driven to Cruise Terminal by an aggressive, unhelpful taxi driver. He even ...

Some serious issues with privacy and security of property

Review for a Asia Cruise on Sapphire Princess

I recently completed a 10 day cruise on Sapphire Princess, sailing out from Singapore on February 28, 2019. I encountered some serious issues that I have not experienced on Princess before. While in the men's changeroom, I witnessed the spa staff give a master locker key to a passenger who claims he found his locker locked but he had not locked it. The passenger was allowed to use the master ...

First Marella, first Asia

Review for a Asia Cruise on Marella Discovery

Having cruised many times, mainly with P&O, we thought we’d give Marella a try as it was going to places we hadn’t been to before. Accommodation We had a balcony cabin on Deck 7 which had loads of storage space and kept clean and tidy by our steward, Charlie. Some of the towels, particularly the hand ones, were very thin and were pretty useless in absorbing any water and were seriously in ...

Orion New Zealand & Australia

Review for a Asia Cruise on Viking Orion

Could not get the flight I wanted, even though I took Air Plus. Flight home was delayed 2 hours, so United dumped all luggage at LAX stopover and cancelled all connecting flights. We had a scheduled 3 hour layover, so there was plenty of time to catch our original flight. But, instead we had to rebook and ended up with crummy seats in the back of the plane. Many excursions were filled up before ...

Great ships company, terrible administration

Review for a Asia Cruise on Silver Shadow

User Avatar

We chose the sailing because the timing and itinerary were just what we were looking for. The issues started just after we booked the cruise through the Silversea Florida Office. The thing to bear in mind is that this is supposed to be a luxury cruise and you are paying top dollar. The booking/ administration was awful and had no idea of life outside Florida. Questions went unanswered for ...

Just not up to standard

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We started as a cruise of a lifetime and ended as a demotivated disaster. This once great international liner is now a British floating holiday park, There is a ghost like senior management team only ever to be seen fraternising with Grills guests and drinking wine. With the distinct exception of Captain Wells who seems now to do the job of Cruise Director and Hotel Manager as well as his ...

Good Cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We wanted to visit the South Asian ports on this 20 day cruise and check them off our list to see. The ports o call were average with some exceptions. Some were very 3rd world and not very clean. Phuket was the worst. We have sailed all over the world including last year to NZ & AUS and the cruise and ports were outstanding. The food on the Sapphire was not as good as on the Sun Princess. ...
