The Millennium was in fine shape. We enjoyed this cruise! The weather was cool but the Persian Garden and Solarium helped warm us up. The BLU restaurant was excellent as usual. The staff was friendly and efficient everywhere we went. The captain was the best we have encountered - very visible and kept everyone up to date as to the weather. We really enjoyed Japan - it was very easy to get ...
My husband and I chose this cruise because we love to cruise and wanted an easy way to visit our son who is studying in Japan. We have never sailed on a transpacific or transatlantic cruise and were a little apprehensive about all the days at sea, but we really enjoyed it. We were able to sleep late and not worry about getting up early for a shore excursion. We did hit the remnants of a typhoon ...
We Finally Made It !
My husband felt we were the only people in America who had not visited Alaska, so we were excited to finally embark – and found embarkation quick and easy. Overall, we enjoyed the ship and particularly liked Skagway and Victoria.
Cabin: We were in 8211 and I must say it was the quietest cabin we've ever had in 9 cruises. End of hall, forward. It was fairly easy to hop ...
This was our 2nd cruise to Alaska. We chose Celebrity this time because we never sailed this line before and the perks seemed good as well as a great price for Aqua Class. Also we were going to Skagway where we never went.
What a true disappointment in cruise line.
Check in was smooth however we got a brand new girl who was so slow we waited a good 20 minutes to be checked in and couldn't ...
My husband and I had been on many Caribbean cruises and enjoyed them all, but had never been to Alaska. Being in Texas, we were tired of the heat and wanted to cooler temperatures. We'd never been to Seattle, either, so we went a couple of days before the cruise to get to know the city. My husband found the perfect airbnb spot, right near Post Alley at the Pike Place Market. However, being from ...
With only three ports of call after departing Vancouver, this cruise is for hardcore cruisers that love sea days. All the usual shipboard activities were offered by the crew. Captain Christodoulakis could also be seen walking around the ship regularly and engaging with the passengers. We found the ship and our concierge balcony cabin in good condition despite previous reviews.
Sitka was ...
The cruise was a good way to spend 2 weeks with my wife as well as meet new people as we travelled toward Japan.
Embarkation was a breeze and very efficient and we were met by very polite people as we checked in and all through the process up to and including US Customs (note, if you smile are offer politeness, you will get that in return, funny how many people have forgotten that).
Our day ...
This was our first cruise to Alaska. We arrived a day before and stayed in a hotel near the Seatac airport so that we could take advantage of the free shuttle. The shuttle driver recommended the Sharp's Roasthouse for dinner and even shuttled us there. We were not disappointed as it was a very good dinner. The next morning we were on to the pier. We took the shuttle back to the airport so that we ...
Things were quite unorganized on this ship from Vancouver to Hawaii.
THE GOOD:
(1) The food was very good, and especially loved that they finally had a gluten-free station in the Windjammer; for those of you who have Celiac Disease, this is a welcomed accommodation ~ Thank you so much for that!
(2) The Service in the Dining Room and the Windjammer were top notch, as always!
(3) Our ...
After enjoying three transatlantic cruises with Celebrity, we decided it was time to take a longer cruise to visit Alaska and Japan. While the size or class of the room never matters to us with European, Alaskan or Caribbean cruises, when there are few ports of call in cruises lasting 14 or more days we like to book a suite to enjoy Michael's Club and Luminae as well as other perks. And we ...
