Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Chance to see northern Japan, Russian port- which I never could see while in the Navy because of clearances for almost 30 years. Alaska was exceptional, as always- fourth visit. Never stop being overwhelmed with the beauty of the country. It truly was a whale bonanza this year- think we can rest easy about the future of the humpback for a while. They are real showmen I'm convinced. Saw ...

Flew into Seattle the day before to explore the city prior to sailing the next day. Space Needle and other area attractions were great. Getting to the dock and through check in could not have gone smoother. We were aboard and enjoying our first meal before we knew it. It helped to have already filled out and printed E docs and luggage tags. The balcony room is the only way to go. Learn the room ...

Just an OK cruise with a few disappointments . . . we have sailed on Oceania before, this cruise one of our least favorite. Panama Canal from Miami to San Francisco. We did get to Cuba which was fascinating to say the least. We arranged a private tour for the two of us all day . . . $65/pp. Museums, walks through town and ride in a 57 Chevy convertible. Great guide, provided lots of ...

We spent the “ Golden Week “ in Yokohama while the NCL Jewel hosted a private charter. We enjoyed Fruhlings Fest, and the Port festivals and activities while there. We explored and experience the world famous quality from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Toshiba, Canon, Sony, Panasonic. Japan taught the world " just-in-time " manufacturing, and that organizations ...

Cruised from Japan to Seattle, USA. The cruise ship was great, the staff very friendly, the food was good. We had an outside cabin with a large window. Included was the drinks package, special coffees (which could only be used in the restaurants or the Irish bar), and water, and gratuities. The itinerary was very good with stops in Japan, Russia and Alaska. Getting off the ship at our final ...

We did this cruise coming straight off a relocation cruise Sydney to Vancouver on the Noordam. We disembarked the Noordam at 10 am and boarded the Westerdam 3pm on the same day. All went smoothly and we were able to drop our luggage in the morning which allowed us to explore Vancouver during the day. This was the Westerdams second cruise after a major refit so everything was fairly new ...

We have wanted to visit Alaska & particularly Glacier Bay National Park for years. Your limited in choices because the National Park Service only allows a few Ships to enter Glacier Bay. We chose the Norwegian Pearl. It’s a very beautiful ship, clean & neatly kept. The crew & staff are very polite & nice. They are strong believers of hygiene. Every place to eat entrance is manned by a crew to ...

We started planning this trip over a year ago, and decided to stick with Norwegian for our trip to Alaska on the Pearl. I have read on several occasions that the Pearl was old, dated and needed an upgrade. I thought it was marvelous. simply amazing ! We flew into Seattle on the Friday, two days before we sailed out. For the next 2 days we hit Pike Place, the Seattle Wheel, and had some magnificent ...

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We chose this cruise for the itinerary - visiting Japan and Alaska. This was our 11th cruise, all previous cruises with Royal Carribbean and Princess Cruises. The embarkation process in Yokohama took over 2 hours, we had previously experienced 30 minutes maximum on other cruises. The same applied to disembarking we were left mid way on the gangway for 40 minutes with no explanation. The ...

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Regatta

Our 16 day cruise from Miami to San Francisco spent 88% of the time at sea, not at the destinations Spending $800+ per day on fine dining is not my idea of an enjoyable cruise. Destination Services were overpriced, poorly conceived and poorly organized. Cuisine was excellent and service impeccable. Cabins were small 216 sf and tight Bathrooms even tighter. We were aboard Regatta, a ...
