This was our first cruise since the restart after covid. As platinum cruisers with Princess this was not our first trip by any means and we were interested to compare the before and after.
Royal was bigger than the ships we had cruised previously so we had some expectations of crowding which wasn't really an issue for the most part.

We have travelled with Celebrity several times and always found it to outstanding.
Unfortunately we did a back to back sailing from Vancouver to Alaska and then back to Vancouver.
The second leg of our trip was most disappointing. There were changes of crew in Alaska, who weren't as polite or friendly as those on the northbound trip.

We got quite a bumpy start,,, our first stop in Alaska before heading to Japan was cancelled. I was really looking foward to see the inside passage and Ketchikan. We selected this cruise for my sons 40th birthday celebration. This was my 4th Alaskan cruise. Twice on Celebrity and once on Princess. Overall we have cruised perhaps 15 to 20 times, first off the on boarding process was actually very good, lines were minimal and staff friendly. This was our 2nd time on this exact ship and itinerary. We took it a 2nd time because we had a cruise credit which had to be used, and it was convenient for us.
