I have just read the last review relating to the same cruise and I couldn't agree more. We understand that the ship has been in operation for 20 years but there were several occasions as though this was the first time that it had been in service. We chose this cruise because of the interesting itinerary from Mauritius, via Réunion, Madagascar, Mozambique , down the east coast of Africa to Cape Town. Even before we sailed, Mozambique was cut. We were involved in the cholera debacle, being due to board on the 25th Feb, but holed up in Mauritius until the 27th. This was our 25th cruise and first on one NCL, chosen only because of the unique itinerary sailing to Madagascar, Mozambique, Reunion, and South Africa from Mauritius. We spent 18 nights aboard Pursuit from Cape Town to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. The ship had a serious gastrointestinal infection aboard that was badly mishandled by Pursuit's crew. In the weeks since our disembarkation social media is reporting the gastrointestinal issues were related to South African bottled water, and after that water supply was replaced by Spanish water all returned to normal. ...

We've used Norwegian for all our cruises and after this one we hit the Platinum level Latitudes. We've experienced some amazing things cruising with NCL, but this cruise has been awful. Chose this cruise because of the itinerary ie. South Africa and Namibia. From day 1 the writing was on the wall. I will start with the good points and there aren’t many.
