Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We were on the recent ill-fated cruise that had to return to port due to mechanical difficulties. Earlier in the cruise, we had already identified shortcomings in cabin cleaniness, mediocre food, and lame excursions that were very disappointing (we did not travel to that distance to be "treated" to a tour of a golf course, taken to markets but not given any time to shop and told that we couldn't ...

Disappointing Experience Aboard the Regent Voyager

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

I recently embarked on a voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona aboard the Regent Voyager, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the staff aboard the ship were undeniably friendly and attentive, the overall condition of the vessel and the handling of unexpected situations left a lot to be desired. Let's start with the accommodations. My wife and I stayed in a suite on the 8th ...

First and last experience with ’ultra’ luxury line

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Overall, while we enjoyed our vacation, the on-board experience of the RSSC explorer failed to live up to the hype of an ‘ultra’ luxury cruise line and we will be unlikely to book again. Dining: Specialty dining was an exception to our general experience, generally being outstanding on this cruise. Service and food quality in these venues was markedly superior to main dining (Compass Rose) and ...

Far from what we expected from 6 Star Cruise Line.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Grandeur

It all started when we arrived in Miami from Knoxville, TN. The Regent representative was amply notified of my requirement to utilize a mobility scooter. I was completely transparent about the scooter by sending the specification sheet that shows all the necessary weight, height and width of the equipment. At the MIA airport, which is far from my favorite, the Regent reps led us to the shuttle ...

Gorgeous ship, wonderful crew

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Grandeur

Our Regent experience was pure luxury from the moment we boarded our included first-class flight to Miami, to the beautiful Biltmore Hotel pre-cruise stay included in the price, and the transfers to and from the airports to hotel to ship and back. I thoroughly enjoyed paying one price before the cruise, and then didn't pay a single penny more from the time we arrived at the airport. We even ...

Five star cruise on the Grandeur

We were on the Grandeur for a 16 night cruise from Miami to the southern Caribbean then up the Charleston, SC and New York City. Overall, it was a wonderful cruise. The highlight of the cruise was the dining experience. All the dining venues offered delicious food and very good service. Natasha and Monique were seemingly everywhere in the restaurants and helped make the experience as good as it ...

Waist of money

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Splendor

The ship was nice, but it is made for seniors. I am an active senior but I spent most of my time in the room. I paid for 3 excursions and got to do none of them. In all, I lost over $1000 on excursions. They are not worth it. Just shop in the city near the ship. When reporting the excursions, the manager insinuated that we were stupid and should have known and if we didn't, it showed that we had ...

Superb Ship, Crew and Itinerary

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had picked this cruise for the itinerary, but were a little wary about Regent after having made an itinerary choice on another NCL line (Oceania) last year and been badly let down. I was concerned that Regent would be an "all inclusive" version of Oceania, but I was very happily completely wrong. Aside from the quirks dealing with 'Miami" beforehand (I suspect that all NCL brand passengers ...

A Great Regent Cruise -- Returning in August

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

Debated whether it was a 4* or a 5. Lets say 4.5 and round it up. Itinerary was Tokyo to Tokyo with stops in Japan, Korea and China. Pre Cruise (included) - We did our own air and transfers. Added 2 days on our own to the hotel @ $450 a night. The pre cruise tours were organized by Destinations Asia and had an American in the front doing all the managing and announcements. Worked well ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Grandeur

Getting on in years and wanted to try what some considered the best in cruising. So we booked a Grand Suite on the new Regent Grandeur. We are the type of cruiser that no longer bothers getting off any ship. And as Will Rogers said "The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for." Well get use to standing in line on Regent Seven Seas. For those willing to splurge $30,000 for a ...
